Great heatsink for ps5, pop your nvme into slot, be careful when you unscrew cover as screw is very soft and strip easy, pull the protection off bottom of heatsink and pop on and screw down not too hard, only thing I can think of is maybe supply a screw with this, just incase you strip original 😉

Great used this with a WD_BLACK SN850X 2TB SSD, M.2 2280 NVMe in the last generation of FAT PS5 modelmade just before the PS5 Slim came out so the very last Fat PS5 versionI was a bit worried about the whole drive sticking to the SSD but when you press it downand screw it in place its worked well the transfer speeds are really quick 500GB was done in no time.What I really want from the cool dudes at Sabrent is a SSD Drive APP for M series Macs so we can format SSD inSabrent's caddies for NVMe and SATA and set up partitions, I think there are tools that can be used for older intelMAC's possibly under Emulation but not the ARM based M chip Macs.Its a pain having to boot a Linux or Windows machine to setup these drives.

I have used this for 18 months in the OG PS5 Disc Edition and it fitted and worked well with my WD Black 4TB SSD. The heatpad made good contact with the SSD and it looks classy.My score is for using it on the original PS5. Read other reviews for how it performs on the Slim.Now some caveats:However, I have migrated to the PS5 Pro and there are two major issues migrating the SSD and heatsink:1) The shape does not fit the SSD well properly. It will screw down, but leaves gaps.2) More importantly, I don’t believe the thermal pad now makes contact with the SSD and I get storage that overheats and data transfers slow to a crawl. I assume the ssd cavity is a little deeper.I hope Sabrent issue a new design for the PS5 Pro, and I will have to resort to a different solution in the meantime.

If you've hit the storage issue that PS5's have (not enough of it for these HUGE games) then you'd have bought a NVMe SSD drive. If your SSD doesn't come with a built in heatsink, then you NEED this, work like magic, easy to install and works very efficiently... Ran the PS5 continuously over a 38hr gaming marathon playing demanding AAA titles from SSD and the temperature didn't spike at all.If you have an SSD, you NEED this.

This heatsink was very easy to install. My Netac SSD came with a heat-spreader which I installed when I put it in the PS5, but it was throttling when doing big transfers, so I thought a heat sink would be useful. I wanted one that would conduct heat out of the bay, as the standard metal cover looks like it would reflect radiant heat from a heatsink back into the bay. This heatsink was reviewed well and great value at the time I ordered. Installation was very straightforward - once the SSD is in place, remove the standard bay cover and put this one in its place, remembering to remove the plastic covering from the thermal pad as you do so. I did a big file transfer (400Gb) immediately after install and it held a higher speed for longer than before. The speed dropped a little then picked back up, which might have been the thermal pad melting to the right shape to conduct heat optimally. PS4 and PS5 games play super smoothly from the SSD and I would recommend this SSD highly as it is great value and improves on the Sony factory cooling design.NB I didn’t use the included screwdriver as it looked very low quality.

Good quality bought for my ps5, performance. Temperature reduction, fits well ease of application and value for money
