Get your Dubia Roach colony started. Your beardies and your wallet will love you.
For over a year, we dutifully went to our pet store to obtain large Dubia Roaches for our growing beardies. We love their knowledge and have learned so much. They recommended we start our own colony. I was skeptical at first worrying about how much it would cost and whether I would end up with roaches throughout my house.Nope, they stay in their 10 gallon enclosure with a clamped down vented lid. There is no smell either. We are growing a lovely colony of feeders for our beardies and I can now focus on growing our savings for other expenses. The colony arrives well fed in a carefully sealed and labeled box. I truly appreciate the care the seller clearly has for his customers pets.

Alive.
Surprisingly the roaches were still alive spending quite a few days in the usps and then put in my mailbox in the cold. 1:23am I saw they were delivered there and so I had to drive my car down my driveway in the rain. (I have a pretty long driveway.)

Not as expected at all!
This is the absolute worst delivery I’ve ever received of dubias. I don’t even think these are dubias! They’re HUGE! Way too big to feed my bearded dragons! Most are bigger than a 50 cent piece. They’re freaky and creepy! This is NOT an acceptable order at all! There are also numerous teeny tiny ones in here. All my previous orders from other sellers have been consistent and as expected.

Nice large roaches but many were dead upon arrival
The roaches that were alive were nice sized. However, there were numerous dead and dried upon opening the boxes. My bearded dragon is finicky and will not eat the dead ones, so it was a disappointment.Edit: I ordered a 2nd time when they had a promo. I thought they were all dead but a few. But they were in "hibernation" due to the cold. When they warmed up the majority were alive. The seller was responsive and informative when contacted.

Got a whole breeding colony
I could not be happier with my purchase I did have some dead ones in the bottom and yes, they did stink but when I tell you, nearly every company on Amazon will not send males in your order so you cannot breed them by yourself and it’s extremely expensive to get a breeding colony of 10 females and one male when I opened my package I already had babies everywhere huge pregnant females plenty of males, literally a whole breeding colony. I just won so bad I feel guilty I don’t remember how much I paid for this purchase, but I would’ve been happy paying double what I paid after I opened that box and seen what I got. Anyone that’s not happy with their purchase and wants to throw them away. I’ll be more than happy to accept them. Lol

Great value for the cost versus amount
I've bread roaches for about 7-8 years now and while preparing to sort my bin to cull the exploding colony, I had them on the back porch and had to leave for the day. There was an unexpected thunderstorm with a ton of rain, and it killed the colony. I have a new colony that is still growing, but I just bought 40 adult females and 20 adults males from this company to speed up the process, and bought these 200 to help feed my bearded dragon while the colony establishes again. I didn't count the roaches one by one, but with my experience, I'd say the count was pretty close, if not a little over. There were some dead, but it's near impossible to not have any dead as the postal system, UPS, FedEx, and other delivery systems are not gentle with their handling, even when they are marked as "Live Animals". My adults and 200 feeders were in separate bags, but in the same box which was padded with Styrofoam peanuts. I had 1 dead adult female, and maybe 5-7 dead feeders, which still likely left me with >200. For the cost, you can't be the value.Odd thing...Amazon asked me about the value for the money and accuracy, which I gave 5 stars for both. The other question was to rate the flavor from 1-5 stars. Sorry, I had to leave that one blank. I don't live in a country that typically consumes roaches as a food source.
