Insane Temperature Reduction
I have an older, but extremely powerful laptop. It has always run hot, but one of the intake fans has recently started malfunctioning leading to overheat shutdowns fairly regularly. I did the research and landed on this cooler. It seemed a bit pricey, but the life of my primary computer depended on it.This fan reduced my heavy-load temperatures up to a max of 50 degrees C. Let me say that again...50 DEGREES CELSIUS. I was expecting decent results, but holy crap. It averages around a 30-40 degree reduction under normal use, and frankly I'm shocked at how well it works. Some folks have complained about it being loud, but seeing as how I'm coming from an unbalanced internal fan that regularly makes terrible grinding-ish noises, the noise this fan puts out is neglibale in comparison.I should also point out that I've been running this fan at max power, so keep that in mind when you check your mileage. With these kinds of results though, I don't see any reason why I'll need to keep it on max for the long term. 50% should be just fine, honestly. So yes, I absolutely recommend this cooler, especially if you have an older machine that isn't great at keeping itself cool anymore. It's extended the life of my machine significantly, and it was worth every penny.

Most powerful and effective fan I have yet
Love this fan, I’ve used plenty of fans in the past but this has been my favorite so far. The power it give off ant max is insane and even on its lowest setting it still works great. I like the option of choosing how high I want it to go especially if I’m in a public space and don’t need a lot. I definitely like being able to change the height, and bracer levels, and the foam option helps to suction the heat away while still cooling it. While it’s not slim, it’s great if you have a desk setup and have a dedicated spot for it and tend to game a lot. I’ll also say that I had questions about it and the customer service was great as well. Overall I’m happy with it and I’d definitely get it again if I ever needed another one.

Does the job
My wife's laptop used to get so hot it became uncomfortable for her fingers when gaming. This cools it enough that it doesn't happen and we don't even have it on the highest setting. It is a bit loud but any laptop cooler that does the job successfully is going to be loud and it's not much louder than her poor internal laptop fans were when they were trying unsuccessfully to cool it down. We have headphones on half the time anyway!

Best external laptop fan on the market.
I cannot thank my coworker enough that suggested this to me. I noticed a roughly 10 degree drop in temps overall when running harsh programs like adobe applications and games. I've even noticed my actual laptop fans running far less.Couldn't give it 5 stars due to some of the materials. The arms that extend feel very weak - I find myself knocking them out of place pretty easily and the rubber padding on the feet fall off frequently. The foam is great for conforming to my device, however I do notice it has started to give a little to easily after several months of use. It's loud, but I could care less about that. It's very lightweight and the design makes it very portable. Using it's own power source is a massive plus, I hate taking a USB cord for fans.Get it. Worth.

The best one of my three laptop cooling pads!
Design, airflow, and having complete control of the fan motor speed with a dial sets this one apart from the rest. It seems that the foam-rubber insert could have been implemented via better engineering analysis, but this cooling pad is the best one I have now. Worth the price, the lights are highly customizable. One irony is that when the RGB is on, the edges of the pad get warm. Negligible from a macroscopic perspective. Its multiple height adjustment is great. Oh, and being powered by a separate power adapter (included) at first seemed like a drawback, considering I have so many things plugged in, but it's actually an enhancement in that you don't have to plug it into a USB port for power. If you're undecided, or hesitant like I was at first, I definitely recommend this cooling pad.

A beastly cooler.
I watched tons of video reviews and comparisons of laptop coolers before deciding on this particular one. I have a ROG Strix G16, and when pushing my GFX card to the max, I haven't seen the temp climb above 46C with my laptop on this pad. I run it on the max speed when gaming, since the ANC of my earbuds cancel out all of the noise, but I'm pretty sure what I'm doing is overkill. I just rather he laptop cooler do as much work as possible so that my computer does not have to, and lasts longer.I like the fact that it comes with a filter on the intake, to prevent any dust from collecting inside of your device.

It works good
Well I bought this one over the Razor one because of price. The unit feels a little cheap so we will see over time if it holds up, but man does this fan cool down my asus rog g17. Temps went from 89c with gaming to 76c. One drawback is this thing is loud as hell. I don’t mind since I use headphones to game. Also I found the fan speed dial doesn’t have much of a fine range it went from low, medium and high. The dial made it seem like it would have fine tune cfm control. But regardless this will keep your laptop cool during gaming.

Needed for gaming with non-gaming laptops
Highly recommend - Works exactly as intended! I have a Lenovo laptop with an RTX 1660 Super gpu and before buying this could only play 10 minutes of CoD/AAA games before the laptop's heat would startreducing framerate (even at lowest settings). With the GT500 I can play indefinitel. Only drawback is that it can be loud
