As an MHBA, I work with many individuals diagnosed with autism and this book is paramount to their success in relationships. I know first hand how important social skills are to living a happier and successful life - I have ASD myself. I wish someone would had tought me the valuable tools in the book when I was younger. Do your clients and loved ones a favor. Make a difference in their lives. Buy this book. Never look back. Search on youtube: "Spolar Effect". A channel dedicated to supporting autism and promoting social skills.

This is a great book for those in the ABA field or for parents of kiddos on the spectrum. There are a lot of great lessons and it makes you think more in depth about breaking down complex social interactions into smaller steps. There are a lot of things neuro-typically developing people take for granted in social situations that we simply do not think about. A must have for any practitioner working with children on the Autism Spectrum.

I would recommend this to parents and professionals with autistic children in terapy. we have used "a work in progress" for 3 years now, and these two books are linked. So i kinda know how its structure. It have a good progress from the beginning, but fore more pictures and practical views we also use teaching children with autism to mind-read.

Considering I needed this text for my class, it is in condition and an interesting read. This item was delivered in a timely manner, which made me happy as my semester had already begun.

This book is the greatest thing for working with students with high functioning autism in the classroom. It is a must have.

I bought this textbook for a college class and it came exactly as described. Giving a review of a textbook is difficult because no matter what the subject, sometimes the material can be dry. However, I did pass the class, so that's another point towards this textbook!
