Perfect fit and function.
Installed in my 2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS 2.0l and it works perfectly. The appearance is that of the OEM switch. I watched a how to video on YouTube and had the switch replaced and everything reassembled in 30 minutes.

Good replacement on 05 New Beetle Convertible
Bought this one 2019, but turned out installed ignition switch was fine but I kept this one. Late 2021 the ignition switch finally did give out so I replaced it with this one. It's been nearly three months and no issues with ignition switch. If I have problems I will update.

Works fine in B5 Passat
Perfect fit and function in a 2000 B5 Passat. My original simply became a little erratic due to the contacts being pitted after many, many miles. This part seems to be equal in quality and heft to the original replaced part. If it doesn’t last 18 years I’ll try to remember to come back here and let you know.

Perfect OEM Replacement
2002 Jetta GLS VR6If your turn signals, horn, a/c fan, and low beam headlights suddenly stop working but other things still do like your hazard lights, radio, dash lights, and high beam headlights, then 99% it's the ignition switch. My local parts store wanted over $60 and it had to be special ordered. I picked this item up with Amazon Prime overnight for under $30! It is exactly like the OEM product and fit perfectly.

Didn’t work like the factory switch.
I needed a switch to drive the car. It worked, but if I turned the ignition off, the switch turned everything off. It’s supposed to leave the radio on and not switch on the dome lights until the key is removed, but the internal contacts are wrong. Got an OEM switch instead, and everything worked like the factory original.

Works Perfectly!
My old switches spring on my 99 Passat had deteriorated resulting in brake lights being on, a/c not working etc. This was a simple fix, just remove the cover on the bottom and top of steering wheel, pull steering wheel out as far as it goes, swap out the switch and you are off to the races! took me about 10 minutes or less - I could feel the tension in the spring immediately - and key returns to run position just fine!
