it is funnyand there is good friendship relationships. as a black man its good to see people falling in love, that are not from my norm. not to say that its a weird movie. i like is!! i saw the preview a long time age like 2 are 3 years ago. so when i had a chance to buy it, i did. p.s. love the kiss at the end....

The cover of this DVD is very beautiful and striking. But the content is poor and poorly done. Unfortunately there are few quality films on this subject. It seems that the filmmakers still confuse love when he manifests gay with worldliness or porn. So it's no wonder when African countries implement laws with the death penalty for homosexuals. It seems that Western culture has a strong tendency to self-destruct. The Asians have all the conditions to make good movies in this issue but it seems that the industry is still very shy. Not recommend.

I had been looking for this movie forever and when I found it on amazon I was thrilled. The quality was great and it didn't take too long to be posted here so overall I'm ecstatic.

This movie shows fears, love, virginity, and honesty in a different culture. i have stared watching a lot of foreign films because they do not always end happy like the American counterparts. This film will not disappoint you.

One of the first gay movies I watched, and I must have rewatched it at least five times since then. It's not just the romance, the humor really gets me too. I love Bai's sessions with his psychiatrist.

The best movie ever. The subtitle is a bit delayed in the movie.

The longest movie I have seen, even though it lasted only 93 minutes. A lousy clunker in every way. Why do people tolerate such awful movies just because they are gay? The plot, the script, the acting, and practically every aspect of the movie are as bad as I have seen in recent years. I also find the broad brushstrokes the movie uses to paint every single man in it as a flighty, silly, sex-crazed creature of the old stereotype extremely offensive.

OMG did this film wana be any better?! i loved the story! i loved his little friend beind the bar 'Yu' and i just really liked the story line! by far one of the best films i got!

Beim stöbern habe ich durch Zufall Formula 17 entdeckt und war erst skeptisch.Als ich Beschreibung und Rezessionen durchgelesen habe,dachte ich mir,für den Preis kann man ja nicht viel falsch machen.Erst hatte ich keine Lust ihn mir anzusehen und daher lag er erst ein paar Tage bei mir rum.Bis ich mich endlich aufgerafft habe und hab ihn mir angesehen.Zum Glück!Ein so süßer Film,der so herrlich übertrieben ist,macht einfach Spaß und ich habe es nicht bereut ihn mir gekauft zu haben.Im gegenteil,er ist sogar zu einem meiner Lieblings Filmen geworden.Die Schauspieler machen ihre Arbeit wirklich sehr gut und auch wenn die Handlung etwas übertrieben ist,ist Formula 17 ein Genuss für jedes Boys Love Fangirl und natürlich alle anderen die Boys Love lieben.Wer also kein Problem damit hat,maximal 3 Frauen im gesamten Film im Hintergrund zu sehen;es völlig normal ist,wenn einer nur mit Socken,Boxershorts und Sakko durch die gegen läuft und noch so ein paar andere seltsame Dinge,sollte sich Formula 17 kaufen...es lohnt sich =)

Wirklich einfach eine schnell und humorvolle, vielleicht etwas übertriebene, Liebesgeschichte zweier junger Männer. Super Musik und keine Sekunde Langeweile. Lustike Darsteller die mit übertriebenen Charakteren die Liebe, das Flirten und Amüsieren in Taipeh in den Homosexuelen Kreisen darstellen. Es war mehr wie unterhaltsam und ich musste oftmals schmunzeln. Sexy und sympathische Darsteller. Eine wirklich gelungene und abwechslungsreiche DVD. Kann man gut zweimal schauen!!

Formula 17 legt vor allem Wert auf erheiternde Unterhaltung, dafür aber keinen auf Dramtik bzw. Negativseiten des Schwulenlebens, die in der realen Welt (vor allem in Asien) auftreten können. Trotzdem ist es eine positive Abwechslung, denn andere Filme nehmen eben diese Aspekte als Hauptaugenmerk. Wer jetzt allerdings Yaoi erwartet, ist hier fehl am Platze, deswegen ist die Altersbeschränkung auch angemessen. Auf gelegentliche Küsse zwischen attraktiven Männern muss der Zuschauer allerdings nicht verzichten. Ich persönlich finde, dass Formula 17 aus dem Rahmen des Üblichen tritt und somit etwas Besonderes hat, nicht nur wegen der Lacher, sondern auch wegen des Mitfieberns, da man die Situationen zwischen Tien und Bai als "Katz- und Mausspiel" bezeichnen könnte.

Ich hab mir den Film Formula 17 ohne irgendwelche Erwartungen gekauft.Ich muss sagen das ich ein wirklichen Glücksgriff gemacht habe.Wenn man mal richtig schön abschalten und sich amüsieren will ist der Film nur zu empfehlen.Man sollte jedoch den Humor der Asiaten verstehen und mögen, da Asiaten ihren eigenen Humor haben.Ich bin froh mir die DVD gekauft zu haben.
