Ordered product to keep the two extension cord ends out of the weather. Box is easy to use and once you get it closed and the sides latched down, it is water proof. I have it in a spot that sprinklers run twice a day, when I opened up today to check inside the box, it was completely dry inside. Great product, great price

I bought this box for my above ground pool equipment. I needed a box that would protect one incoming power supply line and also protect 2 input plugs and a timer. This box works perfectly. It has ample room to hold a large plug with GFI, a timer and about 10 feet of power cord. I ordered the large size, and am glad I did. I have no trouble keeping all the power inside and don't have to worry about squeezing it in. The cover is very secure. I like the snap lock mechanisms that keep it tight. They work very well. I know this because a blowout of my salt generator that spewed gallons and gallons of water over this box had no impact at all. It was dry inside, totally dry. I intend to bury this box in the spring when I re-open my pool, and am certain it will hold up to that just fine. The price was fair, the delivery was fast, the company did a great job. I would buy again if I needed and can recommend it without reservation.

Our problem was that we needed a way to have a large GFC plug on a short electric cord from a pool pump connect to an outside socket on our house 40 feet away on a timer. We needed a way to connect the plug to a grounded extension cord that had to be water-resistant - from both any rain and splashes from the pool.This solution is reasonably unobtrusive in it's grass green color and size. It utilizes a combination of an overhang on the lid, electric cord guides and rubberized seals to minimize any potential for water to enter the box. The cord / GFC plug is connected inside the box and the lid just seals on top. Although we do have earwig bugs that appear to like the shade in the box, we have not had any issues with water entering even after weathering (pun intended) multiple thunderstorms and torrential rain.A simple solution, though it works well. On reflection we likely could have picked the smaller size, though we are now utilizing the larger capacity for multiple outside cords and believe this will work well for outside decorations for the holidays.If this review was helpful, please mark it as so to help others find it. Great water resistant cord box for outdoor lights in my case. Only issue was it was tough to seal up/close but it worked OK.

I use a lot of lighted yard decorations for the holidays--mostly Halloween and Christmas, when my area gets a good amount of rain and/or snow. I use more simple cord protectors for single plug-to-plug connections, but needed something larger to accommodate a power strip. The medium box fit a 3-plug power strip (about 8in long), with plenty of room to accommodate the plug heads & some of the extension cord length as well. Closing it while keeping all your cords in the proper spots could be a little difficult, but not too bad--my goal was to set everything up once then never open it again until it was time to take down my decorations, so I was willing to spend the time to get everything lined up perfectly. I also had some single plug-to-plug connections for lights that have very boxy plugs/connectors that were too big for the simple cord protectors--I used the small-sized box for those, and they fit with plenty of room. They were out for about 6 weeks and saw some pretty heavy rainfall--water collected on the top of the boxes but no moisture was inside when I opened them up to take down my decorations. I definitely recommend investing in these--not only does it perform well, but it brought me good peace of mind knowing that all my decorations were protected from the elements.

I got the small size, and it’s an awesome weatherproof box. I used it to house a Nest Camera power supply, and I appreciate the extra room to store all the extra cable from the install. It’s easy to latch closed, feels very sturdy, and overall, a great buy!

Along with 3 different sizes of Twist and Seal Mini Holiday Light Cord Protector and Christmas Light Plug Covers, I used two different sizes of SOCKiT BOX's to totally water proof my holiday decoration set up.I land two big ones where the main power lands from the house - that way I can add extra outdoor power strips and splitters. I use the medium boxes to at the various decoration junctions (e.g. th sleigh with the santa and the reindeer, the 6 different sized lighted presents, the three different groups of lighted lawn trees, etc) to run the outdoor extension cords to and/or into splitters or surge protected power outdoor power strips.UPDATE: I think from here on out I al only using the large boxes and buying the black ones. They hide better.6/17/2020 UPDATE - I just installed and outdoor tv along with a Fire Cube for streaming. I ordered two large size black socket boxes for all the power and streaming devices.Guess what? PERFECT SOLUTION.The devices stay dry and dust free and the black boxes hide very well and organize all the stuff neatly under the planter shelf.Lemme tell ya they stay BONE DRY! I swear. We used something similar on set in my TV production days. I made my own for years out of ammo boxes with rubber stoppers but now that I have the SOCKiT BOX products I let them do the hard work.Thanks SOCKiT BOX ! 🙌
