Useful for connecting smart phone to car stereo without Bluetooth
Like most modern smart phones, mine only has a single USB-C 'charging' connector, and no place to plug in a set of headphones or an AUX cable to an amplifier or the AUX input of a car stereo. Since I listen to audio books when I drive, especially to occupy myself on long drives associated with vacation trips, I rely on being able to sync/connect my smart phone with a rental car's stereo using Bluetooth wireless. On two recent trips where I had to rent a car at an airport, I ended up with a Chevy Equinox, both of which steadfastly refused to 'play nice' with my smart phone over Bluetooth. They only wanted to connect to Apple phones, and my Android phone was apparently not welcome. Luckily, for many years I always bring along an AUX cable which allows plugging a phone's headphone output to the car's AUX input. But only too late I remembered that my new phone does not have a headphone output. I was able to pick up a small 'USB-C to headphone' adapter at a Walgreens drug store I was driving past, and that got me my desired phone-to-AUX connection, but now the phone was depleting its battery charge on the long drive and even though I had along my car-power to USB-C charger cord, I could not plug it into the phone at the same time as the new adapter. So, I ended up leaving the phone plugged into car power via the charging cable, while listening to my audio book via the phone's tinny little speaker, just barely adequate due to road noise and such.I purchased this "USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone and Charger Adapter", which does the same thing as the little adapter from Walgreens, while also adding another USB-C connector for plugging in my phone's charger cord at the same time. I have tested it on my own car at home, and it works fine with my Android phone, and audio quality is just fine, and I verified that this adapter does allow me to charge the phone through it while listening. There is some information about this device allowing volume control, but there was no manual of guide with it and I don't see how to use that feature, if it actually has it.One caveat I noticed when testing this product with my Android phone and my own car; at first, there was no sound from the car's speakers even when playing my audio book. It seemed that the book was playing through the phone's little speaker and NOT outputting an audio signal via the USB-C connector. I had to go into my phone's settings and turn off the Bluetooth, at which point this product was able to start performing its function. The adapter I bought from Walgreens did not have this issue.Note: If you want to use this product in the way I described above, you will also need to have a suitable AUX extension cable, with the 3.5mm stereo phone plug at each end (one end plugs into the car's AUX input jack, and the other end plugs into the 'headphone' output jack of this product. I suggest that the cable be at least 3 feet long.If you just want to plug a pair of headphones into this product, you don't need an AUX extension cable. This product's 'headphone' output is suitable for both actual headphone use and also for the AUX type connection to a car's AUX input, or a computer's sound card 'line in' jack, etc.

Works great!
The perfect solution to cell phones without a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sounds good and charges normally

This works on my pixel 6a.
It works using standard plug in head phones and charging cable. I've tried other gismos that fit the plugs but earphones didn't work.

It didn't last, but seller gave a refund!
This worked great... until it didn't. It served me quite well as bedside charger that let me listen with wired headphones.A couple of days ago, I woke up with a low-battery charge, so I did a little testing. With this device, my phone wouldn't charge. If took the device out of the circuit, charging worked fine. I substituted a different (similar) device, and charging works OK.There is no visible damage to the device, and it hasn't been in an abusive environment. This should have lasted longer.UPDATE: Seller contacted me and issued a refund. Although the product failed, the seller did not. It's refreshing to see someone who stands behind their product. Very nice.

Works for my newer device
This did not work on my Motorola phone, it did work on my new Samsung Galaxy A35, take that for what it's worth. Connections were nice and snug, charging speed was as described and audio was clear with no interference. I did not check if it worked with calls, so I can't speak to that. All in all this is the first adapter like this that has actually worked for me and I would recommend it.

2 in 1 USB-C Adaptor
I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 cellphone that only has a USB-C port and no longer has a headphone jack/port. I needed a way to charge my phone, listen to music in the car through the Aux port and talk on the phone. I read the reviews and it seemed like this Adaptor would be the best solution. The Adaptor fit into my phone perfectly, allowed the phone to charge and I can hear music playing through the speakers of the car. I was able to make phone calls and hear the person, but they are unable to hear me. I will return the Adaptor and look for one that also allows the person to hear me during telephone calls.

Works great!
The iPad 10th Gen doesn’t have a headphone jack, and my daughter doesn't have wireless headphones. This is an excellent solution for keeping the iPad from dying while she watches kid shows, since the Apple branded dongle only has the aux jack. The white braided cords are flexible and feel durable, and she hasn’t complained about the sound quality so it works well. The C port fit is snug and the split design looks good. I usually have my kids use a right angle connector so they don’t damage the connectors and ports when they play the iPad against their bellies; that’s the only thing I would modify for this product design.

Worked great until it didn't
This was just what I needed since there's just the one port for headphones and power. I prefer corded earbuds in some cases and this let me listen and charge the phone at the same time. However, stopped working after about 5 months.
