Love this big stick! It works.
Love this big stick! It works. My physician's assistant was happy to hear I was using CicaSolution. Glides on smoothly, feels great, lasts a long time. My reconstruction scars from a double mastectomy are smoothing out and disappearing. It does take time so don't expect everything to look "normal" anytime soon. However, I did clearly notice that it was working within a couple weeks. Will continue to buy.

Completely flattened a 1/4 inch high hypertrophic scar
First off: do NOT use this on an open wound like a previous reviewer did, that is the complete opposite of this product is intended for. If you have an open wound that is still healing, please use a hydrocolloidal bandage that will prevent much of the scarring in the first place. They stay on for several days, are waterproof (as long as you do not apply body lotion or oils) and are appropriate for open wounds and easily available on Amazon. ONCE your wound has actually healed THEN is the time to use this silicone scar stick. It took about a year of me applying once or twice a day but I completely flattened and shrank a 20 year old hypertrophic scar that was 1/4 of an inch high. Also make sure to always keep you scar out of the sun and apply sunscreen (especially the first year after the wound is created) or you will be further damaging your skin and undoing all your hard work healing your skin.

Noticed difference in one week, but things got worse quickly
Revised review because although I had very high expectations based on the description of this product, it actually made a newly wounded area on my arm much much worse. It did seal the wound initially, but the product wouldn’t come off for cleaning the wound, then the area became raised and bumpy. Terribly disappointed with this one.

Product is dry and doesn't glide ot roll on smoothly at all. I even tried heating it and that doesn't improve texture. Pulls on scars makes me question who wrote reviews prior!
