Works good but not with a Ubiquity injector
Its works fine - I originally tried to use a Ubiquity injector with this. However it didn't work. I thought the problem was this but it was the fact that the Ubiquity injector isn't compatible with this device.

Plug and play
This adapter is perfect for a device that does not support POE power out of the box. This adapter is connected to a TPLINK travel router that I am using for all of my alexa IoT devices as those aren't really the best when ut comes to network security. The POE port that the device is using is on a separate Vlan on my switch and it has no issues providing network data as well as power over the Ethernet cable. All in all, works as described.

Great for powering Raspberry Pi and Tinkerboard with a POE switch!
The only feature that could make this a full 5-star review would be if this had a 90-degree connector for the power wire. It looks wonky for both wires to be sticking straight out of adjoining sides of the Pi case. But it works well, it's a smart product for a niche use case. I bought 2, if they last a few months we'll get another 5 for the cluster.

Works well with Raspberry pi 3b
This has proven to be an excellent choice to power a Raspberry Pi 3b project. I built it inside an enclosure with a 7" LCD screen and this adapter powers both the Pi and the screen using PoE. The application running on my pi is not CPU intensive so I can't comment on how far the power delivery can be stretched, but it has been going for months now without a failure. This was easy to integrate and an inexpensive alternative to the official rPi3b PoE hats that I've seen.

Great for FireStick 4K
Got this to use with a FireStick 4K and it works great. One ethernet line from my PoE switch to this, and then this plugs into the ethernet adapter on the FireStick, providing power and data to the adapter and FireStick. About a clean a set-up as you're gonna get.

Newer version works with echo dot.
I purchased a few of these for a new construction project to try to do whole home audio with Amazon Echo Dots. I was disappointed to find that while it would power most any other micro usb device I tried, it would not power the dot. I didn't have time to return the units (I bought 4-5) because I was too busy. I was very impressed that the seller reached out about my issue. They even sent a newer version (from China) for me to test. The newer version does work with the dot. While I would think POE should be POE and this should work with any micro usb device that needs 5 v 2.4amp, i'm really impressed that the seller is actively researching and improving the quality of their product when they get feedback. No product is perfect but this one is 5 stars in my mind.

Great POE splitter, Raspberry Pi 3B+ needs additional steps to work
CAUTION: DOES NOT WORK 'OUT OF THE BOX' WITH RASPBERRY PI 3B+ ... read for details I have used around 12 of these generally excellent devices to power Raspberry Pi 2s and 3s. Having POE powered RPis is a life-saver when needing to do a remote reboot or to install in locations without power. I highly recommend this splitter for 2/3B RPis but NOT for the RPi3B+. With the RPi 3B+ (which is the first with a pseudo-gigabit ethernet port), this splitter will NOT auto-negotiate a network connection (on fresh new Raspbian image with all updates). It powers the RPi with no problem, but the network connection is inactive/dead. After a little trial-and-error troubleshooting, I figured out that the link will not autonegotiate, but if set manually it will work but ONLY at 100mbit with HALF duplex (which is as fast as the POE splitter can do anyway since it is not a gigabit splitter). (Performance at full duplex was about 10% of that at half duplex.) (The RPi performed very well on a direct gigabit connection, so the splitter is definitely playing a role in the problem.) To make it work on an Rpi3B+, do the following from an ssh shell (you have to temporarily use some other network/power connections to get it working): sudo apt-get install ethtool sudo ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex half autoneg off I also had to manually set my switch port to 100mbit half duplex because my switch (Unifi US-8-60W) would not autonegotiate. I would recommend this for older Raspberry Pis, but NOT for the RPi 3B+ because it requires additional steps and wouldn't support the gigabit speeds even if it worked as designed (this is only a 100mbit device).

bought this to replace the one from Aliexpress, about the 2X of the price, order from Aliexpress will take too long, so far so good.

It worked for a year and then broke, better buy from local shops with warranty

If you have an existing Power over Ethernet (PoE) network, this device lets you connect USB-powered devices to it without needing a separate power supply. I used it to add a wireless access point (WAP) to my network in a location that didn't have mains power available for a conventional USB power supply for the WAP. No configuration needed, works straight out of the packet. Quality is o.k. but nothing special. No idea how durable it is, has only been in use for about a month. No problems so far.

PoEは一般的にはまだまだ知られていませんが、PoE HUBを有していてコンセントが不足気味な当方にとって、検証の際に助かっています。 ただ、連続稼働の現場に投入するか、といえば現時点では?です。

replace outdoor camera, but it was powered by POE, bought Wyze camera, so this cable works great cover the PEO to micro USB
