For polishing clear coat, and that's about it.
Used it on my surface plate to flatten out a motorcycle head and valve cover and it did ok, but I will spend more money next time, this paper obviously wasn't intended for that.

Good product
I collect fountain pains since my high school years. Now, I buy these pens and give them as gifts to my grandchildren. Any fountain pen's nib -- gold, silver, or iron -- needs to be smoothened to fit the distinctive hand writing of the writer. Every individual has one's own degree of pen inclination in relation to the paper, weight or pressure exerted on the nib, and even the imperceptible roll of the pen between the finger as it relates to the speed of writing. All these characteristics differ between right-hand and left-hand writing people. It is the reason for anyone not to ask for someone’s fountainpen even for momentary use. I have used this abrasive to prepare lows cost, cheap pens to write like expensive ones. This abrasive does an outstanding job in accomplishing such a task in the hands of a cautious and knowledgeable “writing pro” tasked with making it a pleasurable writing instrument.

Curled up and thin
It works for what I'm using it for which is cutting it into 1/4" strips for polishing pinewood derby axles. However, if I were to need this for attachment to a block it'd be a pain. The item arrived rolled up resulting and it it's a pain to deal with. It's also very thin so it wears out a bit more quickly than something of a higher quality. Price was right for what I needed.

Very wrinkled and not flat
It came very curled and rolled up into itself. I needed something flat, so it's not really what I had in mind. The paper seems to be the right grit, but I am in the process of trying to flatten it to salvage. Kinda funny, I set a 3lbs candle and it's so curly that it nearly lifted it.

paper is not correct grain as marked
I ordered two 5 packs of 1200 grit. It said 1200 on the back of the paper; however, when I used it, it was more like 800 grit. much to rough for wet-sanding and buffing paint and to rough for clearing and buffing headlights.
