Very cool timer and well worth the price.
Reminds me of something from Apple. Well thought out. Very cool. I was using the Polder neck timer and was frustrated that they kept breaking. The Timestick is much more durable. This is very easy to set. The keypad is in a sealed rubber front panel so it won't get water in it. The buttons are still raised and give tactile feedback so you know when you push one. The LCD is under a sealed clear plastic. The battery hatch is also sealed but still easy to get in to.The neck lanyard is much better than the string that polder gives you. I've got white and black Timesticks and my wife has a pink one. I went through 3 polder units in one year ($45) so this is definitely worth the price ($25). Great stopwatch and timer. Switches automatically to the clock function when not in use. I like the lock keypad function. The bar graph is cool but only marginally useful. Sound volume is about right. Good strong magnet too. The packaging was nice. Makes a quality gift I think.

Way to expensive for this piece of crap.
Only kept military time. No way to change it. Item stopped working after only a month. Way to expensive for this piece of crap.

Thinks It's A Clock
I bought my TimerStick directly from ThermoWorks. It is advertised for one-handed operation. This is true provided you have extremely strong fingers preferably with long fingernails. The buttons are very difficult to operate. And if you do suspended timing, meaning that you interrupt your countdown or count up, and if you suspend for more than 60 seconds, the unit reverts to a clock. For the life of me, I can't figure out why the manufacturer thinks this is necessary. I thought I was buying a timer, not a clock. I work part time from home and need to keep an accurate log of my hours each day. I constantly have to recycle the timer to get to the count up operation each time I resume work. Had I known the unit operated in this fashion, I would never have bought it.

If you are hard of hearing and looking for something ...
If you are hard of hearing and looking for something that can not only help you not forget something on the stove etc, just know the timer volume is really not loud enough for what I was hoping for.

I'd buy another.
Good timekeeper and timer although not the most convenient to use. Has the occasional glitch, but can be trusted to recover\.

Lovely Little Timer
My previous timer was the timer app on my iphone: bulky and I was always afraid I'd mess it up.Before that, it was my flip phone, but the screen saver kept turning it off.and before that, it was the stop watch on my chronograph watch: I don't wear one anymoreSo now I have this single function timer that counts up or down. It is inexpensive (NOT cheap) protected against damage and small enough for an apron pocket or to hang around your neck. I store it on the refrigerator due to the handy magnet. Easy to set and remembers your last setting if you just want to press start and use it again.I plan to hand these out as stocking stuffers to my adult children next year.

My husband loves it
My husband hates my kitchen timer. I bought him one of these a few months back. He loves it. Totally loves it. Threw out his old piece of junk kitchen timer. Uses this one for everything: grilling, timing how fast the child picks up toys, turning the sprinklers off, whatever. I bought him green. He would like another one in orange or yellow. Fits in his shirt pocket or hangs around his neck. Lightweight, well made, reliable, sturdy. I told him if he likes it that much I'm wiling to standardize on it but then inertia set in. Our kitchen still has 2 timers -- a super duper awesome green timestick and a 15 year old piece of junk. He tries never to touch the piece of junk.

Quirky and not like their old EXTRA BIG AND LOUD TIMER
This device is quirky, To set the date and time on the device you have to use the start/stop and clear buttons, Even though there is a full keypad you have to use the clear button to scroll though the time setting. Granted you only do this when you replace the battery but still weird that you have a full keyboard and don't use it.My biggest frustration is I time bagels that are boiling and when they are in the oven. So I have two timers, one for boiling and one for baking. The mode toggles back to clock so instead of just hitting the start/stop again, I have to hit the M(ode) button to get the device in timer mode and then the start stop to time my 1 minute boil. Then when I need to bake for 15 minutes again on the other timer it switched back to clock mode and you have to hit the M button to get it into timer mode.I purchased these to replace two BIG TIMERS from ThermoWorks where the keypad had over the years just fell apart. I loved the old BIG TIMERS but they don't sell them anymore, they have new versions but I like the magnets of the old version better. If you only time 1 thing a day then these will be ok, but if you are trying to do production having to hit the M(ode) button all the time is just a pain. These are timers, I wish that is all they did, I really don't need a clock to have to set every day light saving time or regular time. If they were atomic clocks that auto set the time, well then I might look past this little issue.
