Hi! I would definitely take into consideration the weight of the curtain itself and the installation. If you are planning on using sheer lightweight curtains you can get away with only using 3. But if you plan on using blackout heavy curtains and you aren’t sure whether each bracket is going to land on a stud I would highly suggest all 4.

Brass, gold, rustic, and glam all in one.

The color is accurate. The rod seems to be holding up very nicely. We have them in the living and dining room and it it goes very well with a modern rustic themed home.

Scratches with grommets

Very beautiful rod. Simple and attractive shape and warm gold/bronze color.Unfortunately, it scratches very easily with grommet curtains. I'd expect this from low-end $15 rods from Walmart and Ross, but when you're spending more than double the cost of those cheapo rods, this one shouldn't be able to scratch so easily.I've only had this rod for 3 months, and I hardly ever move the curtains, yet the rod is very noticeably scratched if you're standing anywhere near it. I highly suggest pairing this only with rod pocket curtains.

perfect size, easy to install

Purchased this super long rod to have 4 curtains cover 3 standard width windows. The space between the windows doesn't really allow for individual rods, without it looking crowded. The curtains are 98" linen rod pocket, and they aren't heavy. There is no bowing in the middle. The rod is sleek, and the rod pocket glides over it effortlessly.I bought two extra posts just in case, but it was totally needless for this. I would say I could go to three times the weight, easy, eithout bowing. The total width this is extended in the picture is 135".
