what is the difference between bowflex 3000 and bowflex blaze? which is better?

Based on my experience with the 3000 and looking at the overview of the blaze, I would say the primary difference between the two is that the blaze enables you to perform a greater number of exercises parallel to the floor. Such as lying flat on your back to bench press. The seat appears to be more adjustable. I can only perform a bench press in a seated position. Based on photos I've seen of the Blaze, in my opinion, the 3000 is better for squats because I can remove the seat and leg extension entirely. The blaze requires you to straddle the bar. I would suggest that you look at both manuals and check to see if the exercises you want to target are available on the particular device.

Is the 100 inches the height? If not would I be able to use it with 8 ft ceilings?

My ceilings are 8' and it fits great.

The PR3000 at Sears states on the add sign that is upgradeable from 310 to 410ibs? Is this the case? The adds I have read said 310 ibs only?

Yes, you can add the 410 lb upgrade to it. They don't advertise it but I've had mine at 410 lbs for two years now with no problem.
