Q: I’m putting oem wheels and tires back on a 2018 subaru outback. i understand this tool connects to each sensor, but how does that info get to the car?

This one does not. You can scan your old sensors and copy their info onto new ones, but it does not connect to the vehicle. I couldn't do that because all of the old sensors were dead and I couldn't read them. I bought this one and then returned it and got the TS508. The TS508 has an OBDII cable and will actually program the new sensors to the vehicle. It worked on a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with cheap, aftermarket sensors.

It should. The sensors can be cloned to read as the originals.

Yes it will, but generally it’s best to use the autel sensors when you have to replace one.I never have a problem

Q: Will this tool tell me which tire is low when the tpms light comes on? it is a pain to check all four tires when just one needs air.

Yes it gives the tire air pressure!
