Good safety shears

As a retired ICU RN and supervisor, I used this type of "chopping scissors" for years, cutting away cloth, canvas, denim, leather and other materials in the ER. They are enormously handy for household, shop and garden duty. The titanium bonded edge stays useful longer. Good product at a very affordable price.

This product is made for exactly what it describes itself as, for use of cutting up bandages and medical tapes. It is capable of cutting small objects such as paper or packaging (I tested it) but that is not its intended use but will do in a pinch. This product is very well made, tatically designed, it has weight to it and enough tension in its arms to really get a good slice into the bandages and to know it wil keep working for a long time. Its made of bonded Titanium which is both tough and durable, with a dark coating on it so you do not have to worry about scratching it up or getting a glare off of it as you work. I bought it for my emergency go-bag and for home medical use. So far, it seems to work very well and I am pleased with this product. I would say most people buying this are either using it for medical uses, either professional or personal. The benefits of this product is having a tough, reliable pair of medical shears when you may need them the most and do not have time or feel like hunting around for a decent pair of scissors. At 7 1/4" in size it will fit most peoples hand comfortably. The bent handle makes it possible to cut on any flat surfaces were regular scissors cannot. The blunt tip is made for cutting material without harming skin.It only weighs 8 ounces so would be easy to carry around. Priced at $6.50 it arrived within a week of my ordering it. The pros of this product are its price, ease of use, light weight, sharp, well cutting edges and ergonomic design. The only con I can think of is it is a bit stiff at first and needs a little bit of use to get it to were it is not making your hand a bit sore using it. In my opinion this product is worth the buy if you are looking for these kinds of medical shears for home or business use. If you just needs paper cutting scissors theses are not for you. But for use for medical issues I think this would be a good investment that will last.

I bought my first pair of these scissors when I needed frequent dressing changes on my legs. They were perfect for cutting through the wrappings without damaging the very fragile skin underneath. One of the home care nurses who was taking care of the dressings had left her scissors at a previous visit (a frequent occurrence) used mine and told me to keep an eye on my scissors when the other nurses was around, or they might "accidentally" find their way into their bag because scissors this good are rare. I found them so useful that I bought a second pair to keep in the bathroom, the alternate bandage removal site. Of course we found them useful for more than just dressing removal, and they worked perfectly -- especially for opening packaging. That led to my third purchase, which I keep by me. I have tremor disorders that make it risky to use pointed scissors, and "safe" ones generally aren't strong enough or sharp enough for me. These scissors meet my needs in so many ways and they're very reasonably priced. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about them.

Very high quality scissors, traditional design, length, and comfort, blade arms sticky enough for one handed operation, not as sharp as I'd like.
