This kit from AETHLUX consists of a large, shallow base, a metal pole, and a large LED grow light that attaches to the metal pole. The pole and light are attached with large thumbscrews, so they feel secure. Plastic cable guides are included; you attach them with double-sided foam tape to help guide the power cable down and along the pole and base.The light is bright and even. This has a super simple control -- a single power switch on the power cord. No timing controls, no light intensity or color controls, just ON or OFF. As you might guess from the simple control, the timer starts when you turn it on, so if you want it to say, run from 6am to 10pm (remember, the timer is fixed at 16 hours on/8 hours off), the first day you have to wake up at 6 am to turn it on.This comes with 4 small plant pots; they're white with drainage holes, and saucers are included for each of the pots. They're basic white plastic, nothing really special about them. Great instructions, super easy to set up. Good quality lighting and construction. Good instructions for first time users and advise to use herbs to get the hang of it before trying more difficult plants indoors like floral or veggies. I haven’t started growing yet but the light works as advertised and self turns off and on. I’m so excited to finally have a kitchen garden that I can grow more sensitive things. I live in the desert where it’s very hot and dry and some plants are impossible to grow here. This indoor garden allows me to try my hand at some plants I normally wouldn’t be able to grow here. It’s a decent price and comes with some back up parts. Would definitely recommend and would order again.

Another birthday gift for my dear grown-up daughter. She has an herb growing kit and now with this terrific grow light she can grow herbs in her home in the winter. She was lamenting the fact that she couldn't grow herbs in the garden in winter. This item certainly solves that problem.

This is a nice kit! It comes with almost everything you need to grow plants inside your home. The kit does not come with soil or seeds, but the adjustable-height grow light, small planting pots and drainage tray will get you started.
