Best durable kid-size snack or lunch containers
I have been using these for almost 3 years now. The youngest who is now 6 has been able to open it himself by the time he was 3.5 years old. I don't worry about them dropping or getting banged around (and when they have been dropped on asphalt, the lids have not popped off). The sections make it easy to portion out items. The only things you can't put in these are things with sauce as they are not leakproof. I have, however, included a little container of dip (I wash out and keep the little plastic containers for dressing or condiments that come with take-out for this purpose) and put in my own yogurt dip for fresh veggie sticks for their snacks when we go out. They still look like new.

Perfect for toddler lunches
I own two of these that I use this for my toddler’s day care lunch. I’m wary of plastic and this is the perfect portion size for him. It’s durable, easy to open, and easy to clean. It fits perfectly in his backpack and is very durable. It’s not leakproof, so I prefer to use silicone holders for the smaller compartments when I put fruits and veggies in it. I find the silicone muffin holders hard to clean and the branded version created specifically for these to expensive (plus, I couldn’t purchase just the smaller sized ones, I had to buy an entire set), so I’ve been using silicone mason jar protector sleeves (4 oz size). They fit perfectly into the smaller compartments, are easy to clean, and are much more reasonably priced.

Good size, leaks easily, brittle plastic
I like the size and quality of my Trio box for my preschooler’s snack, but have to be careful what I pack in itNeither the sections nor the lid are leak-proof. Maybe I need to buy the silicone liners (although reviews on the fit of those are mixed - would be nice if Lunchbots offered a set specifically matched to the sizes of the Trio box)The large section fits loose kale chips (even fits the Trader Joe’s brand in plastic tray if I remove outer package and trim the tray edges - sometimes I have to use the plastic tray to ensure they stay dry if packed with more wet items in the smaller sections). Drier cut fruits like apples don’t leak, but juicer items like cut oranges, canned peaches, cucumbers with dressing, or dragonfruit do leak between sections and also leak out the lid a bit. I can just barely fit a sealed kid-sized applesauce pouch in the large section, but not a stonyfield yogurt pouch. Thicker dips like hummus or guacamole stay in their section just fine. There’s no way I would attempt yogurt in a bento section (except maybe super thick greek yogurt)I can fit cut sandwich pieces, crackers, etc as long as I’m careful about the “wetness” of other items in the boxThe colorful lid is brittle plastic, both our Trio and Cinco plastic covers cracked within 3 months of part-time use (~3 days per week). We do put the box and lid in the dishwasher, so maybe that’s why. Really wish the lid covers were silicone, as it might make lid removal easier for little hands, as well as less likely to break. I do see that Lunch bots sells replacement plastic covers, but am reluctant to purchase since they’ll likely just break again within a few months. Also the plastic cover kinda interferes with lid operation - sometimes when I try to remove lid, I pull of plastic part but miss the metal lip

Best lunch box for my 5year old.
Got it when he was 3 for day care. He is in kindergarten now and still uses this everyday for school. Easy for him to open and close the lid and looks good to go for the next year too. Love this product.

Great quality; a little hard for PreK4 to open
This lunch box has turned out to be perfect for my 1st grader. It's just big enough for good lunch portions; having the different spaces helps me to pack a balanced lunch. I've had to retire it for the time being for my PK4 kid for now, however, as he was unable to consistently get the lid off in the short time allotted for lunch at school (and was too shy to ask the teacher for help). For him stainless steel with silicone lids have worked out better.

Worst product and packaging ever
I never wrote a review and I decided to write one for this one. I opened the package and I was shocked to see how dirty was it. Lots of stains and scratches. I can’t imagine how this product has so many positive reviews. Hard to open for kids as well. Returning it right away. Please don’t buy this.

Broken and stained upon arrival
I want to love this bento box for my daughter, but it came in a previously opened box, with the packaging strip, removed but shoved in. Then, the colored topper for the lid didn’t even fit and was broken. There were also stains on the topper and the inside of the stainless lid was very scratched. The bottom looked fine. It looks like someone requested a refund and returned the crappy part and took what they needed to for their replacement needs. Disappointing that no one ever checks these returns.

Nice quality, I'd go without the color top next time
This lunch box is a great size for my almost 4yo. It's very durable, I've dropped it a few times and it has held up. I have no issues cleaning it, but it is a little annoying snapping the color decoration on and off (so I may have gone with plain if I realized it wasn't one piece). I actually often use it without it.There is not a barrier between the depts, so I use silicone muffin cups to hold anything liquidy (yogurt, condiments)Wish it was less expensive, I did get it when it was on sale though and it is a great quality.
