the wrench is solid but pins are weak and when removing cap, if it is tight (as it should be) pin will break off leaving a further issue

Had a leak from the cap on one of my Yamaha trim tabs, told I needed to rebuild entire system by several repairmen for $400-$600. Further investigation revealed I could replace seals in cap, only 1 leaking, but 2nd would start leaking if both weren’t addressedSeals cost as much as 2 aftermarket caps, so went with caps. But this tool was needed to remove caps. $70 for caps, $30 for tool that worked great. 2 different sizes, larger one for tilt, smaller one for trim.

I ordered this for the trim caps on my 2007 Yamaha F115 based upon the ad info! This actually only fits the tilt cap, so if your looking to do the trim caps order the MT0006.Apparently Amazon corrected the info immediately after I informed them, so bravo to amazon! Otherwise looks like a good tool.

This product failed right away. The pins broke immediately upon putting pressure on the wrench. Within 5 minutes all the pins were broke and the tool failed me. I couldn’t get the job done. Very disappointed in this product. Do not recommend.

I really like that there is a steel tool to help with the removal and install of the SeaStar seal gland. The wrench that comes witb the kit is made out of aluminum and will disform. Just disappointed that the pins are not straight when installed to the tool. All 3 pins were slanted and would not fit into the SeaStar seal gland. I could only get one pin to fit. I hate that I have to return it.

Cheaply made and very substandard even for made in China. Measurements are not even close to fitting the trim motor caps it is supposedly made for. Over 2 mm. off in dimensions.
