Camellia Brand Dried Red Kidney Beans & Red Bean Seasoning, Authentic Louisiana Flavor (Set of 2)

I really like this set with the beans & seasoning. Made it so fast and easy to cook in the instant pot with added sausage, trinity & garlic. The seasoning has a very very mild spice, nothing too overwhelming and perfect red beans & rice experience.

I love red beans and rice and this is a great product to use. A bit pricy, but it is a good blend of spices.

Used the mix to create my own pot of chicken and sausage jambalaya. Used thighs and andouille for that extra flavor. Couldn't have been happier with the flavors out of the box. Definitely buying more.

Each box contains one seasoning packet with some nice Cajun flavors plus some dried peppers and onion (enough for 1LB of dried beans). I used Camilla red beans and slow cooked in a crock pot as directed, but added a little bit of chopped celery, some butter, and a bay leaf. I added sausage about halfway through the cook (so it wouldn’t get overcooked). I also cooked it uncovered for the last 30 minutes or so and mushed up a few of the red beans to get a more creamy texture. It turned out great. Best red beans and rice I’ve ever made. Good enough to serve in a restaurant IMO, and also a pretty easy cook for someone like me with fairly pedestrian cooking skills. The only negative is that it’s a little overpriced on Amazon, but still a much better deal than going out for red beans and rice. However, if you try it and like it and plan to use it regularly, Amazon does sell it in larger quantities, which brings the price down to a more reasonable price point per box.

The easiest and most tasty Monday Red Beans

Beans were great but I have nothing to compare them to as this is my first time making my own red beans. Normally my cousin makes them and they are always delicious no matter the brand.

Great for new bean cookers...takes the guess work out.

Kinda expensive for what it is but excellent with smoked turkey legs cooked with it.
