good deal
With tax i paid $21,,,for that I'm happy with this purchase. Seems like a fine product. I currently have three other types of headlamps of less and more quality. So, I'm practically an Expert Critic ;) I think Eveready was always known as the more cheapish battery Company compared to Duracell and Energizer...so can't say for sure if the included batteries will balance out the bargain. As far as the Lamps etc go...the 2 modes are what you need. Extra Bright and a bit dim so not to be blind it the Dark. I like the head straps, good color, nice elastic, comfy feel. And Easy to adjust tightness. Putting the batteries in wasn't difficult. Don't really like the on/off button, not the easiest to find/feel out. You can angle the lamp direction to some extent. I saw a review complaint about the packaging...I thought it was good...nice box with everything divided. However, you do have to put all the bands on...they slip into place fairly easy though. And the good thing easy to remove if you desire to wash them.

Good to have in an emergency but...
This is a handy kit with reasonably durable lights and headbands. It has two light modes: high then low. The battery life is very decent for occasional usage and should last hours in a row continuously. But once it starts to get low its brightness will fade.Pros: easy to operate as it works with one button, easy to adjust, aaa batteries are very common.cons: you need to put the straps on the lights yourself (Not difficult), its not waterproof so be sure to dry it out after using in the rain, the batteries/ straps/ lights come somewhat loose in the box and the box isn't very durable. It's easy for the box to fall open in your hands and for batteries to go rolling on the floor. I'd recommend putting the straps on the lights when you receive it and seal the batteries in a ziplock bag until you need them.

Perfect for living in the country
Actually these are perfect for living anywhere. They're easy without fidgeting around with 26 different light modes I mean who needs a strobe on the headlight right. The good thing about this brand is they can get low light enough for you to actually work on something without losing all of your night vision in low mode. High mode is plenty bright enough for 95% of what you need if you need more light than that you're going to have to step up to a streamlight with expensive batteries. Which I actually have and used quite often but these head lights are just so very useful and they're cheap so what I would do is buy this package and put one in each vehicle I mean I don't carry gloves in my glove box I have a headlamp in it. And for going outside checking on the chickens at night or changing a flat tire they are everything you need and if you end up messing one up you're not out but two bucks I would highly recommend them and with Christmas coming they're not bad for stocking stuffers if you're a tightwad like me. An old tightwad . Highly recommended very comfortable lightweight the perfect size

Great for power outages!
My husband uses these for night fishing; running in the back yard to check on the chickens in the dark; the whole family used these for hands free lighting during a power outage. These are so practical for anyone. Highly recommend these!

Bright!
These are good headlights. I recommend these for auto mechanics. Under dashboard, or such work. You'll definitely see what colors the wires are. they have two brightness levels. Bright, and VERY bright.

Just an amazing value for this much utility
These headlamps are the perfect intersection of great price and better utility. On one hand, it's only a few dollars each but on the other, they provide so much help to you when you need it the most.Let's start with the packaging: admittedly this is weakest part. You get just one box that holds all your batteries, lamps and headstraps. They could have made individual packaging for each headlamp, thereby letting us give out a clean package to other people or keep one in each drawer around the house and in one little box. Also, the batteries and strap are not installed. This is fine if you got 10 minutes to kill while watching TV but a tad annoying if you haven't done this beforehand and are fiddling with it in the dark. Most other headlamps have straps attached and have a tab to pull on pre-installed batteries so it's definitely feels a bit DIY.The lamps: These are very bright and very easy to use. They fit snug against your head and even have a little concave plastic tab that fits against your forehead and moves up and down. There's one button that toggles between BRIGHT, less bright and off. I'm glad there's no more buttons or features than that. I have fancier lights that toggle between 3-4 brightness levels and/or flashing modes or have multiple buttons and it's completely useless. 99.9% of customers are going to be just people with power outages and people going back to their tents from the campfire while camping. For those few hikers who feel like they could get lost, be in the dark and need emergency flashing functions to signal rescuers, I guess consider other lamps. That's it! These can make a perfect low-cost gift if you don't mind not having its own box. Even if not a gift, just buy this and throw it in the drawer. I can't stress to you how useful these things are in a power outage. From going downstairs and being able to hold the railing, traversing the DARK basement to flip a breaker or going to the garage to get a generator going, having your hands free is paramount and just plain easier. Best yet, you can turn it on , stick the light upwards in the air and get enough light in the room to actually do things even if you don't want it on your head. This thing blinded me when I looked at it so it's plenty bright. The build doesn't look too waterproof so watch out for rain. It's also 90% plastic. That helps with the weight but I'm sure you could snap a piece if you didn't watch it. Not sure about battery life but it's LED and 3 AAs. I'm sure it lasts plenty long. That's it. Great product. Highly recommended, especially at the low BF prices I've seen it at.
