great lightweight helmet for kayaking
the sizing seemed spot on according to the head circumference measurement. Very comfortable helmet. The visor adds glare protection

Probably a great helmet, but its all-important full-face visor doesn't work
The Gath Gedi is probably a great helmet, but the full face visor -- mandatory for my application -- does not work. It is supposed to ratchet up and down to stay at any of three positions, but doesn't. Oh, it moves up and down fine, but when I release it, the visor drops down over my face just from gravity. The west coast dealer I bought it from is working with me, but sending it back to them is costing me money and delaying the start of my precious and already too-short sport season -- the most important activity in my life -- by weeks. 10 hours of trying to get the mounting system to work properly have produced nothing but frustration. I've already bought two other helmets in an attempt to get on with my season. I'll upgrade this if the dealer is able to find and fix the problem.

Not sure if the velcro tabs for the ear piece are viable when hit by a big wave but I like using it without them anyway.
