DIY Sheds
Bought this to explore designs and learn a little about framing. May or may not build a shed, but the book is very nice, lots of different designs, pictures, instructions, tradeoffs, siting and location prep. Great little book which should prove useful even if just for reference.

Thes BEST shed book I've ever seen!
This shed book is great! There are lots of ideas, pics, different versions, and all the how-to pics and directions. It is definitely the best shed book I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of them over the past 40 years.

Great How-To Book For First Time Builders
This book is great, it gives you step by step instructions and a "shopping list" of materials. Can't be any easier. Only wish they would had given you some modifications options for some of the larger shed layouts (example, adding windows, front awning options, etc etc)

Great book!
I haven't finished the whole book yet but so far, it has a lot of great information in it. I think it's worth getting and adding to a book collection.

A good starting place for building a shed
A good starting place for building a shed, but lots of mistakes in the instructions. I'm building the bike shed, and so far I've encountered these errors: 1) the shopping list neglects to include studs for framing the door; 2) the sidewall sole plate and top plate are listed with incorrect lengths; 3) the step-by-step photos seem to show a shed without a floor... the floor is never installed, despite the description indicating that that is what is depicted in the photo. Anyway, if you build one of these sheds do so with a critical eye for detail and some common sense. Also, the book starts out explaining what a 2x4 is (yes! we're starting with basics!), but the actual shed building plans say things like "build the left sidewall" and "shingle the roof". No steps or plans for how to do that... you're on your own! I'm thinking if the book starts out assuming you'd need help identifying a 2x4, it's safe to assume you'd need help framing a wall and shingling a roof. Don't get me wrong, you can use Google and some YouTube videos to fill in the gaps, no problem. Just be aware that this book isn't going to hold your hand if you're starting from basics.

Informative and we'll planned guide
Just what I wanted for my 17 yr son to show him how to build a workshop for himself. Plans and step by step instructions are great. Even shows how to add solar powered lighting.

Niet onder de indruk
Het boek belooft meer dan het waarmaakt. Verzameling instructies voor verschillende schuren. De instructies zijn niet altijd even duidelijk en alle afmetingen zijn in feet en inches dus kan je continue alles omrekenen. "How to build a shed" van Sally Coulthard behandelt veel minder types maar geeft een veel duidelijkere uitleg.Wel interessant zijn de detailtekeningen van dakaansluitingen e.d.

Not enough details for the DIY er. One picture for 5 critical steps...not helping. Page number missing too for drawing references. Not impressed.
