It provides mild exfoliation and helps to get rid off dead skin cells.If used daily, yes it does help with clogged pores. However, you would still need to use an exfoliant few times a week for better result.

Is this drying? I have oily yet dehydrated skin and most cleansers are too stripping for me

I buy this for my son, who has oily skin. He tried many products before we settled on this one for the same reason. This one cleans his face without drying it, and it keeps the break outs to a minimum.
