I was using the suction cup that came with my Rove dash cam and it constantly fell when my car was parked and even sometimes while driving. It was horrible! Finally bought this dash cam holder and much better. It's easy to install and very sturdy. Doesn't move at all. I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, the part of the mount to connect it to my ROVE dash cam was too wide so I had to return it. It could have been a one off with the plastic piece but didn't want to chance it by reordering.10/12/2024UPDATE: I unknowingly purchased this again when looking for another mount for my ROVE R2 camera. It doesn't block the camera on my rearview mirror that's needed for the advanced safety features such as lane departure and collision warning but it did require a little "elbow grease" to slide the camera onto the mount. Works great!

I purchased this to use in my wife's 202 Kia Seltos with a Rove R2-4K Dash Cam. If you own a 2024 Seltos, be warned it is a very tight fit between the mirror and windshield, but with a little patience it can mounted in a few minutes. The mount itself seems very secure on the mirror. We've been using it for over a week now and it shows no signs of loosening. I would have given it 5 stars, but the it does not perfectly fit the Rove R2-4K camera. I was able to get the camera attached to the mount, but it took a little elbow grease to do so. Again, it seems sturdy at this point, so crossing my fingers it does not work itself off the mount after months of road vibration, etc. If AZDOME included an adapter that matched the camera, this would have been an easy 5 Stars, but I understand all cameras are different and it's hard to include adapters for every camera. You can make it work though, and this is way better than using the suction cup mounts and I'm not a fan of putting anything sticky on the windshield.

I have a rove r2 4k pro, and the suction cup just doesn't work well in summer time. My cam has fallen down many times. This mount solve my issue. Mounting the r2 4k pro on the rear view mirror is perfect. The cam secured nicely with no fitment issue.

I only got this mount yesterday, so this is for first impressions, only.It’s a metal and plastic mount, so I feel like this will wear out if you have to make adjustments, frequently, but so far, there hasn’t been any need for adjusting the mount after the initial installation.Speaking of which, installing this mount onto the mirror was quite simple and straightforward, as well as the installation instructions – on top of that, the mount for the Rove dash camera was already on the anchor, which eliminated the hassle of figuring out how to install the mount, whether or not that would have been simple to do, as well.It seems like a good substitute/replacement for Rove’s suction cup mount and I won’t have to worry about the camera falling off the windshield if the glass is dirty or the variation in temperature caused the cup to lose its suction.

The mirror mount is sturdy and adjustable. However the mount for the Rove R2-4k PRO does not fit properly. It is much to tight. I managed to slide it halfway on. Now it won't move either way. When I dry tested it I should have shaved the edges with a utility knife. As long as it holds, it'll be ok.I have a regular Rove R2-4k that I have to install.I'll see if that goes easier. If I meet resistance, I will shave it down.Update 6/30. I installed the old version R2-4K today. The mount was too tight. I cut it down with a utility knife and now it fits well.When you compare the included suction cup and adhesive mounts for both regular and pro models, they are all the same. This windshield mount has a thicker plastic section that does not fit unless it's modified.

Works great in my F150 and my Charger.
