A simple helpful product that does the job
I wish I would have known about this product when I had back problems or my double hernia operation. It would have certainly been helpful. It has been very helpful for my wife who has mobility problems getting upright when in bed or on the couch. It's a good design and seems to be made to last a while. I'll address the negative comments about the confusing directions. It's simple. DON'T READ THEM. I unpacked this product, put the directions aside and examined what was a very simple product with a strap and a buckle. If you've ever used a plastic buckle like this (or have reasonable mechanical common sense) there is no need to refer to the directions. I adjusted the buckle and attached it to the bottom bed rail in about a minute. A day or two later I stumbled across the directions and took a look at them. Yes, they were confusing. Too many ways to install it based on your need and lots of pictures. I guess they were covering all their bases but in some cases too much info can get confusing. Regardless, I highly recommend this product and I eventually may need to get another one for the living room couch.

As advertised
Sturdy, plenty of strapping for any size bed. No hard surfaces to hit your hand on.

Better mounting instructions needed!!!
This is a pretty useful device to help you sit yourself upright - such as bringing yourself from a lying to sitting position with assistance needed due to things such as back injuries. What we did not like were the instructions. The instructions were very confusing and only addressed the ability to attach to a footboard bed. We do not have a footboard on our bed and have the what I guess is now old-timey metal bed rails with box springs and mattress. A much better job could have been done to explain different ways to attach when no foot board is present. The device itself seems to be very well made. Nice cushioned hand holds.

Good concept with reservations
Disabled husband used it only once and didn't like it. It requires good upper body strength. Also got in the way of the bedcovers. Not everyone who is bedbound would find this device helpful.

Gave me independence
This is the best product I’ve ever purchased anywhere. I recently had emergency abdominal surgery. I’m young and healthy and I live alone so there was no one to assist me. I had no way of laying down or sitting up in bed because I could not engage my abdomen. I connect this rope ladder to my footboard, sit on the mattress, hold onto it, and I can slowly lower myself down onto the mattress, and then I can use it to pull myself up and sit up in bed. This small genius product kept me from staying in the hospital even longer because it gave me independence. It also allowed me to rest. The alternative would’ve been to try to sleep sitting up on a couch for weeks until I healed which would’ve been miserable. So grateful for this product.

Didn’t fit on our queen and Not recommended for elderly assembly
Not elderly friendly for setup and also wasn’t long enough to setup on our Aunts queen size bed at the largest size available, we had to purchase additional webbing straps to fit properly and for it to feel more structurally safe

Bed ladder
Instructions to assemble are very difficult to follow. It still isn’t hooked up right and afraid that it’s level to break my bed not too sure how secure this thing is at all.
