LEGENDARY REUNION ‘WARM-UP’ SHOW FEATURING PETER GABRIEL In June 1982, Genesis released their double live album Three Sides Live in two different versions. The album coincided with the home video release of the Three Sides Live concert film recorded in 1981. A tour of North America and Europe followed that ran from August to September 1982, featuring guest appearances from Bill Bruford and the Phenix Horns. On 2 October, Genesis headlined a one-off concert with Peter Gabriel at the Milton Keynes Bowl under the name Six of the Best. The concert was organised to raise money for Gabriel's World of Music, Arts and Dance project which was, by that point, in considerable debt. Steve Hackett, who flew in from abroad, arrived in time to perform the last two songs. Just a few days before this only ever full-scale Genesis reunion concert, on the afternoon of September 29th Genesis performed a one-off rehearsal at Hammersmith Palais in London during which Gabriel, Collins, Banks and Rutherford played together for the first time since 1975. Despite this, the band gelled quickly and the show, in front of a small audience, was both a legendary event and a terrific gig, recorded at the time and later broadcast by the BBC. Rarely ever previously heard however, this obscure yet delightful Genesis gig is now available for all to hear for the first on this new double CD set. 1 Back In NYC 5:56 2 Dancing With The Moonlight Knight 4:02 3 The Carpet Crawlers 5:45 4 Firth Of Fifth 9:02 5 The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway 6:37 6 Fly On A Windshield 4:37 7 In The Cage 9:21 8 Supper’s Ready 24:09 9 The Knife 3:42 10 Solsbury Hill (Take 1) 3:24 11 Solsbury Hill (Take 2) 5:04

Its Listenable, Not an FM Broadcast, Leaked Board tape, quality is OK, but not BBC FM quality.
Interesting historical tape, not the best sound quality, but OK, considering some of the old Genesis bootlegs. It is a bootleg, not something Genesis would release, Peter is up front in the mix, music slightly behind.Worth having if you are a fan, I wish Genesis would do something with their old board tapes, or even the BBC stuff, the reunion show from 82 and the Knebworth 78 shows scream out for release.

Rough recording-but one for the collector
Sounds like it was taken straight from the soundboard, with no processing at all. Some rough vocal from PG bout it had been a while since he'd sang them. All in all a little curio for the collector.

Disappointing
Really terrible sound quality on some tracks, only slightly better on the others.Sounds like it was recorded onto cheap cassette tape recorder from the radio using a microphone.I've listened to it once, but never again.

An Excellent Reunion
An early reunion for Gabriel and Genesus to help raise funs for PGs WOMAD project which was on the verge of bankruptsy. A hugely interesting Genesis rarity and a must for any fan

Not a radio broadcast
Having a few versions of this particular bootleg recording that was basically taken from a old tape recording of the soundboard, that surfaced quite a few years back I must admit this is the worst release yet, whoever the people are who are pressing these Genesis and Peter Gabriel cds up under different labels and trying to pass them off as radio broadcasts should be locked up, in the past they have put gaps between tracks chopped the original bootleg recordings down so that the release is 1 cd instead of 2 to save costs and they don't have a clue of the songs, the description this company did for this release..Rarely ever previously heard however, this obscure yet delightful Genesis gig is now available for all to hear for the first on this new double CD set. It's 1 cd and bits edited out between songs and some takes joined together. The whole of The Musical Box is missing along with the the original take 1 of Solsbury Hill the ones on this are really take 2 and 3 . It's basically a rip of previous bootleg with edits and they must have run out of ink... although it is not listed it does contain Broadway Melody of 1974 from the original bootleg recordings and they did not even bother to change some of the song running times some match exactly the same as the superior bootleg release All The Help I Can Get.This is just a release for some diehards who like collecting pressed bootlegs regardless. The whole rehearsal is available to download freely online. Don't waste money on this edited down rubbish unless you are a diehard

Not FM
Soundboard recording. A couple of false starts and Gabriel forgets his lines at times. Decent quality, better than the Gabacabriel bootleg.I should add, its gone up in price since I pre-ordered it.

Das Produkt besteht übrigens nicht aus 2 CDs wie im englischen Text der Produktbeschreibung vermerkt ("this obscure yet delightful Genesis gig is now available for all to hear for the first on this new double CD set"), sondern nur aus einer... Gottseidank!
