Works for eliminating Squarp Pyramid Hum AND keep it for USB-MIDI
As stated in the review title, I have my squarp pyramid as a main device controlling a good chunk of legacy gear in my studio. I did a rewire recently where I made my elektron gear the focus, and instead of recording everything to the DAW I'm working mostly out of the box, and the synth I'm sampling is being driven by the Pyramid. HOWEVER.... When LEDs are on, especially the Step (Green) and Track (Yellow) lights are on, there's noise, and when working in pattern mode (both on) the hum is not just annoying, it's terribad. Now, in my case, swapping to use the PSU that comes with the unit immediately solves the hum issue, however, the hardware design of the pyramid has one crucial flaw: The USB port is the only way it gets power. So if you use the provided PSU, you permanently lose access to sequencing *anything* via the USB midi channel. While I can work around this by just swapping cables as needed, that's inconvenient if you need to swap back and forth ALOT while recording samples. I picked up this unit, and it works right out of the gate. Now, the manufacturer is quick to point out that this only works at USB 2.0 speeds, and my use case is ONLY FOR MIDI DATA, which simply doesn't need the same bandwidth. So if you're careful with your use-case, you're in great shape! I would gladly recommend this, the only negative would be is that the design only works for one USB port at a time :-D

Can't connect USB devices with this inline.
Well, the noise is gone, but that's only because the USB connection is interrupted completely. Doesn't work at all.

NO MORE HISSING - NO MORE JUMPING CURSOR
I love the case around it, it's clear smoke so while you can see through it, it's got a touch of class. BUT, the best thing about it, I put it inline with my 7 port USB hub, and it seems t have fixed a horde of issues! First and most important is the sound. It cured this constant hiss I was hearing over my USB speakers. I also use a USB Mic to record for my audio books, CDs and old home movie sound tracks, - it cured the hum in my recording. BUT, there's even more. I use and external touch pad, and it's been jumpy. I'd be writing, and the cursor would jump several lines and suddenly I would be entering my text in the wrong line or paragraph. It was very frustrating - NOW that's been cured too. I think as time goes on will discover other quirks have been fixed too. I am so pleased with this purchase! I think it's surely one of the best improvements I've made. It's AWESOME! When I made this purchase I was hoping it would fix the hiss in my speakers - it did that and so much more. I'm buying another one, just to have a spare on hand, in case anything happens to break this one!

Filters out all the noise for audio equipment
10/10 Fantastic. I really had no hopes for this product because it looked so simple. But it really does eliminate static/em interference that may bleed through the USB. For some explanation. For the past 4 years I've been playing/making music out of a gaming laptop, from there I sent signal into a external DAC (SMSL SU-8), from the DAC I sent it to a pre-amp, from the pre-amp to some bookshelf monitor speakers. This had worked fantastically until last week. I had just finished building a high end pc (9700x, 9070xt, Tuff B650m MB.) From the very first time that I plugged in the DAC usb into the motherboard, I could hear some nasty static that was insanely tied to the GPU's performance. It was to the point that whenever id play a game, I could hear a pitch/frequency change depending on wether I zoomed in or out on the game's camera. It got sickning and tiring very quickly though. Thankfully this simple USB was able to fix this issue, no more disgusting static or GPU feedback. It does suck that it has a very bright red LED. Nothing a bit of electrical tape can't fix tho

Did not work with removing digital click ground noise from my looper pedal (connected to a Tonex).

Not for sound quality
Works well, Digital Isolation. This is a great buffer for protecting your motherboard from usb devices. Specifically from ESD. I have a lot of ESD and fried one of the USB ports on my motherboard. This works so far in protecting my motherboard. I'm not sure why people think that this will fix sound problems from a digital signal. This has nothing to do with audio sound quality. It is an air gap for the digital lines. Hence optical isolator. The ground and power are still connected to the computer which could still create a ground loop feedback.

It works
I bought it because my mixamp pro for my xbox started buzzing real bad all of a sudden. After getting this that buzz disappeared completely. It works. If i need another one for my ps5 i will definitely be buying another one.

Didn't work but found one that did
This unit did not work for me. I was trying to remove the noise that was in the USB connection between my computer and the Steinberg UR44 audio adapter. However, I found a solution. I purchased the iFi iDefender+ (USB-A to USB-A) - USB Ground Loop Noise Eliminator and it worked great. It cost $59 but was worth the cost since my audio is now super clean. If you purchase this unit make sure you connect 5v to it via the USB-C connector on the device. A standard phone charger with a USB-C charging connector will work fine.
