The right tool for the right job
High quality, unlike the cheap plastic disposable ones. Glad to have a solid working tool.

Excellent
Great little tool, no real excess fighting properly crimped pins. Worked very well happy. With it. Didn't work perfectly on the smaller Garmin D sub (mini or whatever it's called) stuff but I was able to make it work. Makes working on 1990 tech in 2025 much more enjoyable. (Someone please bring GA out of the stone ages.)

One of the best pin Extracters
I've used the red/white ones for years and it's always a pain for extraction. But this was fairly easy and unlike the thin metal of the red/white one this doesn't feel like it gonna get bent up like the ones I've used before. Nicely made and feels like it will last for years.

Durable and useful tool to insert pins
I had bought the cheap plastic insertion tools and I have to throw them away after one project. This one is durable in construction, easy to carry and use. Its small size is perfect to handle male and female pins on DB cabling. Great value for money proposition.

Best D-Sub pin tool available
I've worked with D-Sub connectors for years. I struggled with the old red and white pin tools all that time. This is, without question, the best tool for D-Sub pins I've ever used. It works perfectly and doesn't get bent beyond use like the red & white ones; it just doesn't get bent at all. I highly recommend it to anyone who has needs for installing, removing or repairing D-Sub pins. I'll put one in each of my tool kits.

These are a Lifesaver
When you need to remove a pin in a D-Sub connector, don't risk damaging the pin or connector, or both! This is a nice tool that works well and should hold up for a long time.

What you've been missing....
Like many, I've used the red/white d-sub insertion/extraction tool (different brands) for years, with the usual frustration. This tool is way more durable, slips easily around the wire, and saves hours of old norse exclamations.

Much efficient, very wow, such good
Best pin extractor I've used yet for DB connectors. So pleased with it, had my employer order some for others to use at work

Quite expensive considering it's an aluminum handle with a half-tube attached to it, but it does what it says it does and seems like it will outlast my AMP which the fingers broke off. This has no fingers to break off. The way I see it, this is a one time purchase because it seems like it'll actually last unlike the white/red AMP tool.

I have been using the standard flimsy extractors for years with a lot of frustration. This one is much better and worth every penny that it costs. Much easier to use and will not break or bend. I wish they had one available for the high density pins.

I've always used the cheap plastic tools in the past but decided to "upgrade" to this tool. It works, it's very stiff compared to the plastic ones so that takes a bit of getting used to. Two complaints - price is a bit of a shocker and the handle design (taking one star off). The super short slippery handle that it comes with is awful. Ideally it should be longer and have a texture like screwdrivers. The current short super smooth handle makes it hard to control. I might have to rough up the handle with sandpaper or add some shrink-wrap tubing to give it some grip. For $40 this should be a better design but it does the job.

Pulls out lon after a while. Feels cheaply built. Not a lroffecional tool but will get the job done for amateurs
