Such adorable patterns!
I grew up reading Anne of Green Gables, and I hope to visit Cavendish someday. I also have enjoyed knitting for about 5 years, so buying this book was a no-brainer! So far I have knit Diana’s hat, Mrs. Rachel’s table runner, and I am currently finishing up Marilla’s apron. I am beyond pleased with these patterns, and I plan to knit every one of them except maybe the carpet bag, only because I do not want to have to go out and buy some wooden dowels for it! I will say, most of the patterns are articles of clothing, so if you’re not interested in 19th century knitted fashion then I would probably skip this one, but I am enjoying it and I think the sweater and hat could still be worn in our modern era without turning heads. If you are an Anne lover I highly suggest!

Wonderful little book
My wife said: "Reminded me of reading Anne of Green Gables and the quotes brought tears to my eyes. Looking forward to starting on Anne's bag. I think I will watch the movie while I'm working on the bag. The patterns look very clear, like they will be easy to follow."

Fun patterns with easy to follow instructions, though most don't directly tie in with Anne
If you're looking for authentic Anne of Green Gables knitting patterns, there aren't many in this book. It seems like they created cute, modern knitting patterns and slapped a character's name on it when naming it. However, if you just like the patterns for themselves (as I did), this book is for you. It has easy to follow directions, and several of the pieces can be incorporated into your everyday wardrobe.Pic shows Anne's Sweater.

Green Gables Knits Patterns or Kindred Spirits by Joanna Johnson
I have loved "Anne of Green Gables" for more than 70 years (I read the book the first time when I was nine years old) and have loved to knit for about the same length of time. I am working on "Diana's Hat" now and think I have finally found a hat pattern I am going to like. The next project I look forward to is "Rachel Lynde's Table Runner". I have always wished I could see a picture of the leaf patterned bedspread Rachel made as a wedding gift in the story. This could very well be a smaller version of the pattern. I want to thank Joanna Johnson for doing the book! One unfulfilled dream in my life is to see Prince Edward Island. As I knit the patterns from this book, I feel a little closer to the dream.

Beautiful
As soon as I read about the release of this knitting book, I knew I wanted it. I put off purchasing it until I was ready to knit one of the patterns however. Once received, I fell in love with the book. From the photography of the knit items, to the quoted excerpts from the books, to the patterns themselves this is a great book.I'm currently knitting Anne's sweater and have yet to find any errors. Additionally it well written and easy to follow. I definitely recommend this book to any fans of the Anne books and knitting.

Beautiful Patterns Reflect the Iconic Character of the Book
The patterns in this book are perfectly reflected in its cover. I can honestly say that every pattern is appealing to me, so that makes this small-ish book worth every penny. The directions are clear. There's more than one picture of every pattern, including the backs of garments. If you like the wholesome quality of of the book, you're going to love the patterns!

So excited to get this book. The patterns are nice. Not sure how many of them I'd actually make though. I like how the author kept true to the Anne of Green Gables books. It was fun to read all the history in the book.
