Toastmaster TM-401SC Slow Cooker, 4-Quart, Stainless/Black

I love and depend on my Toastmaster slo-cooker. Once a week I make a wonderful stew whichtakes me about 10 minutes to prepare. I toss in the veggies which are cut up, cubes of beef, some seasoning,and a small bit of water or wine. I set it on low. Presto, at dinner time a juicy,savory meal is ready to be served. What could be easier and tastier? Not to mention, healthy. The labor involved is not even worthmentioning. One potful serves several dinners. It is just a life saver, I couln't live without it!

Gave only four stars because the outside gets very hot while using. Can't touch it without potholders. Also items boil even on low setting.I like the removable crock. Makes it easy to clean and serve from.

There is just one problem I found with first use of the slow cooker. I am used to appliances where temperature control knob is positioned, left to right, Off, Warm, Low & High. So, on first use, applied that theory....SURPRISE..3 hours later, when I checked my dinner, I find the pot is Warm & ingredients uncooked! Other than that one glitch, the cooker is perfect.

It's a small simple crockpot, that's a nice size for 2 people. Nothing complicated. Easy to use & clean.

I have a 2 qt. and a 7 qt. slow cooker so I decided to give my 4-qt slow cooker to my daughter... discovered I used the 4 qt. more often than the other two and REALLY needed to replace it. So glad they still make this model!!

It is a great size and worked great but gets very hot on the outside.

I like it very much now idk about it having a lock but it most definitely does it’s job my pot roast was so juicy and tender like I’ve never made it before and I make it often lol
