Best 5e Monster Book WotC has put out since the MM
If you don't have Volo's Guide or Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, this book is absolutely a better deal than either one and probably worth buying even if you already have one of the two. This tome has largest collected line-up of monsters that WotC has put out since the Monster Manual with, making it a better reference for DMs who don't want to lug around extra books. Having a huge collection of rebalanced PC races is just icing on the cake, with some options like the Genasi and Hobgoblin getting a much needed boost while some with slightly over-tuned power sets like the aasimar (+level to damage for a minute) and yuan-ti got balanced out just a bit. It also pulls in races that were buried in disparate books, like the harengon and tortle, and puts them in one easy-to-access spot. The one star reviews this is getting are pretty disingenuous. People didn't seem to have a problem with VGtM or MToF when they released, but suddenly they're upset when this book comes out that collects the same monsters in one place. If you have all of the content in book spread around on your bookshelf in other sources, it may not be worth it for the updates. If you're missing some of the earlier books or just like to have everything in one resource, this one is a great buy.

Love the extentions
Tbh I only originally grabbed this to make a fairy character, but when I looked through this I started to develop many more ideas for encounters. So it's definitely worth picking up and a great addition especially if you have the monster manual already.

Great book
If you're playing 5e without this book, you are seriously missing out.Tons of new monsters, variants of old monsters, new classes of monsters and npc's and over a dozen new playable races. If you're tired iof fighting the same old Orcs, Bugbears and Ogres, this is the book for you! This book is a necessity imo

Misprinted, but replaced by WOTC
The copy I received, the cover was attached upside down. Reported it to WOTC. It took a could months, but they replaced it. Contains a good number of new monsters, not much lore though.

A Very Usefull Book
In my campaign we are using many of the races detailed in this book. It has been very useful to have the most "up to date" versions of races in a book at the table. In addition, the lore in Mordenkainen Presents was an entertaining read.If you haven't bought it already and are on the fence, buy it now. My FLGS couldn't even order it from their suppliers anymore because of the new version of D&D coming out.

Excelente complemento
Siempre me han gustado los monstruos y esta pequeña expansión sobre los mismos es hermosa, más con las opciones para jugar esas razas

Not for the Faint of Heart!
I bought this book because I'm a CONNOISSEUR of picture books. It's very nice, as expected. What I did NOT EXPECT were the horrific nightmares induced by how terrifying some of the monsters are. I've been sleeping with every light on in the house for months now! BUYER BEWARE.

A decent remake of existing monsters as well as some new additions
Always good to get more monsters for the game that aren’t completely homebrew.
