A propane torch head that works great for me
Before purchasing this unit, I read through all comments here, and many complaints are about the ignition and shut-off during usage. After I got mine and been using for days, I did not found anything wrong with this torch, if using it properly. In my opinion, this is a great torch with good price. It is a entry-level torch but still can meet most needs for ordinary people like me (i.e. not professionals making a living on this). I found almost all user complaints are rooted to one thing: that this torch is direct-input torch head just as same as the Bernzomatic WT2301. So the bottle pressure dominates everything: Cannot ignite? Just turn to low the gas knob when pushing the trigger. Shut-off when inverted? Of course it will extinguish when inverted, since it does not have anti-flare and that is why it is cost much less than those high end models. Shut-off during using? Check your environmental temperature, this is probably due to the surrounding temperature is too high and the bottle pressure goes up, it is not the torch’s problem but the bottle’s, bring the bottle to some cool place for a while may solve the problem. Similarly, flame is too small? Maybe this is because you are using it in ice cold winter and the low temperature cause the bottle pressure too low, use some hot water to warm up the bottle. See? Almost all complaints can related to the direct input design and could solved easily. you get what you pay for, and you work with what you have at hand, simple as that

BLUEFIRE MRS-7014B Trigger Start
Puts out a nice flame, not too big not too small. Electric starts works great too.

Absolute garbage, buyer beware!!!
Poor quality, please dont waste your money. The igniter works maybe 30% of the time you have to have the perfect weather condition and have to bottle standing exactly upright at all time and if you move even slightly the flame extinguishs. Makes ot completely unstable. There is now returns for this product so do yourself a favor and go buy a better one this one sucks and now im out $20 and I have to go out and buy a new one. Complete waste of money.

Worth the money.
My torch worked for a few mins then would start going out and just spitting large flame balls out. I contacted the seller and they are sending me a new one. If the new one stays working it's a good torch.

It works great.

Not so great.
It did not work as desired. The flame cannot be adjusted to a very low burn. I had to return to using my old torch that had issues. The new one didn't work any better than my 40 year old one.

Good Torch , easy to use .
The BLUEFIRE MRS-7014 and the Bernzomatic WT2301 are the two most popular propane torch heads in US market, gladly I have both torches and work with them for some time, here is some comments and comparisons: 1. Both torches are entry-level propane torch heads, if you are working on some larger projects, you’d better switch to higher level propane torches. But for those who just want to do some light and small soldering jobs, or precision welding, these two torches are enough for your needs. And they cost less. 2. Both torches are triple-point flame, the flame cone size is slender and concentrated. Both torches have good and stable flames. BLUEFIRE torch marked the output is 2505.26 BTU/hr, and max temperature 1130 C. Bernzomatic torch does not mark parameters, but by my experiences they should be very close to each other. 3. BLUEFIRE torch head has a longer burner tube, about 1.5” longer than the Bernzomatic torch. I am personally more in favor of the BLUEFIRE torch’s design, the longer tube can access deeper into some shallow spaces, and this is very helpful for my work. Plus, I saw some other user comments said that the longer tube made Bluefire torch’s anti-flare performances better than Bernzomatic, I tried the same test and Yes it is true, I totally agree with that. 4. Both torches are made by plastic and stainless steel, the fittings are both solid brass. Both torches are good quality for me. Bernzomatic maybe more heavier in my feeling.

I don’t think the manufacturers of these propane torches (in general) expect the user to use this torch more than a few times a year so most of them are not very rugged. I use it every day so I will see soon enough how well it holds up. I like the simple compact design of this one. The gas valve operates easily and feels like it shuts off well. The spark lighter works first time every time. I hope it lasts. The shape of the tube tip is good. And the flame is a nice size and shape. One caution: there are 2 models. One for propane and one for MAPP gas. Don’t get the wrong one! I ordered the right one and got the wrong one since they look the same. Blue knob/yellow knob. The return pickup process has repeatedly failed. The carrier set the pickup date and then fail to show up. Repeatedly! Someone needs to fix this.

Bad, worked 3 times then stopped working. I wouldn't even give this one star but you can't submit without at least selecting one.

I always used to spark my torch manually but decided to buy one with an auto trigger/push start. I'm glad I did. No need to fuss around looking for the manual sparker. easy to use. Flame is strong on the nozzle. Just hope the start trigger lasts long.
