Nutro So Simple with Beef Adult Dog Food, 11 lb

I started my dog on this food today, he loves it. No gluten, no byproducts. I thought Parina pro plan small bites, beef, and rice was good for him until I read the ingredients. Practically byproducts. It’s nice to know with this new dog food that it is all natural ingredients, real meat. I recommend this to everyone that loves there dogs. Sometimes you can’t judge a book by its cover. I guess that’s what I did with his old food.

Love that the first group of ingredients are actually recognizable food items. Got an 8 year old lab mix that is very finicky with food. She loves this stuff and it's good for her without breaking the bank and forcing me to eat Ramen noodles multiple times a month lol

This food is good quality as far as I can tell .My dog doesn’t love it and it makes her gassy , but she is overweight anyway . To be fair , we switched to this and added pumpkin in hopesTo help her on her weight journey - but something in it justDoesn’t set with her . It IS a great product I would say for a healthy weight dog .

Never met a dog as picky as this one, but she absolutely eats this food up!

I've been feeding my little guy Nutro for over 5 years now, after having a tough time going through IAMS, Nutrish, Blue, etc. Nutro keeps him healthy and regular, and when he picked up a bout of the "runs" which was going around here with the pets, his Nutro got him right back on track. The best dry dog food out there!

My two golden retrievers have been on Canidae All Life Stages food for half a year now and the difference in health, energy and coat quality has been impressive. I was hoping that Nutro's food would be a stride in that direction but was surprised to find a really limited guaranteed analysis of the food. There are no probiotics, Glucosamine, chondroitin or Tuarine in this food. While the ingredient list looks pleasing, it is a beef based food with lots of grains and chicken meal. The omega 3 and 6 fatty acids seem to come from Flaxseed since there is no fish oil or fish in this product.The lack of Tuarine in the ingredient list is an issue for me since some breeds, including Golden Retrievers, are Tuarine deficiencies and cardiac issues. Not all breeds need Tuarine supplementation in their foods and it can, of course, be given separately.My dogs had no problem transitioning to this food and gobbled it down with gusto but I noticed an instant softening of stool in both dogs and an increase in scooting which dogs sometimes do to express glands normally emptied with firm stools. I also saw a slow drop in energy with my senior golden over a week or two. I suspect he needs the probiotics, glucosamine and Chondroitin to keep him comfortable and active.For my dogs this is not a repeat purchase.

It’s a good price for a great food! It’s often difficult to find dog food now that isn’t grain free. Grain free dog food is causing dialated cardiomyopathy in pets!! Please do NOT buy these for your dog.

We have this on auto so she stays full constantly.
