Great strings!
Sound great and play nice. I think they're better then the 80/20 Earthwoods I normally use. Downside they're not cheap. I put them on both my Seagull and Breedlove and got a good result.

Wow, very impressive!!! Sound is great
I was very very surprised by the quality and sound of these strings. 20+years playing with many other brands including more expensive coated strings and bought these after seeing some YouTube reviews. The sound is superb very well balanced and the hold a perfect tune after one good stretch. Very well balanced and haven’t had any annoying string squeak. The action is very smooth with these strings in this gauge.

Tons of treble and overtones, sweet tone
On my Martin HD-35 dreadnaught, John Pearse P200L 80/20 Bronze Lights are my favorite strings so far, slightly edging out Martin Retros. The HD-35 has a lot of low frequency punch, and these strings sound very balanced and sparkly on it. The tone is very sweet, while Martin Retros are a bit twangy. Fantastic for finger picking, flat picking, and chords. Tried them on a Taylor 814CE and it was a bit too much treble and not enough bass. Phosphor bronze seems to be the best bet there.

Makes your guitar sound like the best of the good old days!
Ever wonder why your guitar never has the sweet woody sounds like the old recordings of Simon and Garfunkel, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, Harry Chapin, Gordon Lightfoot, Arlo Guthrie, or the Grateful Dead? It's because NONE of those artists used phosphor bronze strings for their recordings (and definitely no coated strings either)! No they used 80/20's to get their amazing sounds, and John Pearse makes the best 80/20 strings in the world! Bright and sparkling when first put on your guitar, and then within a week they mellow to warm and clear perfection. And then that sound lasts and last. Try these strings. Give them 2 weeks and you'll be hooked on them for a lifetime!

Unfortunately I think I have to go back to elixir strings to avoid the finger squeak.
The strings are pretty good. They sound nice. Only one problem,.... they are very squeaky. To be honest I have been using elixir strings for a very long time. I suppose the nanoweb coating on the string cut down on the finger squeak significantly. These strings are too noisy when changing cords or sliding up and down the fret board. I’m not sure if John Pierce makes a Gore-Tex coated string but if they did it would be a homerun. Unfortunately I think I have to go back to elixir strings to avoid the finger squeak.
