More Horror Madness This Time Of The Scientific Kind
Just discovered more horror madness from Mill Creek. This time it's specifically mad scientist movies. More duplication from other Mill Creek sets but I did find lots of new titles as well...more than half of the set! That really made it all worthwhile for me. The biggest find I discovered in this was the cult classic It's Alive which I've always wanted but have never found! Been trying to get the digital downloads to work which each of these 50 movie sets have but have had little success. Got one of them to work but not the rest, at least not yet. But I think it'll work eventually. Might be just as simple as a login problem. Bottom line, these sets are well worth the price for them.

You get what you pay for!
There are some great movies here(The Devil Bat for instance), a lot of ok movies, and of course several stinkers(Crimson[it's all in FRENCH!!!!])!! Still worth it for the price, but be ware a lot of the movies have quite poor transfers! RP

You get your moneys worth
For 50 movies at ~$25, that comes out to $0.50 per movie, so you really can’t complain. The quality however ranges from fair to abysmal, but again at 50 cents a movie you shouldn’t be expecting blue Ray. Every movies plays, but some are darker with down graded quality, and some have horrible audio where you can barely hear what it is said. Sadly there are no subtitles for any of the movies. But if you like campy old sci-fi horror movies then this is a good affordable collection. There is so many movies you are bound to find one you like, either because you enjoy the older stars like Boris Karloff, Bela Legosi, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and Vincent Price; or because the plot is just so laughable and amusing. Shoutout to Boris Karloff’s the Ape. He spends the entire movie wearing the corpse of a dead gorilla so he can harvest Cerebral Spinal Fluid to help a paralyzed girl walk again. You have to love the absurd logic of the 40s and 50s.

I feel like I've been played
The product arrived in very good condition considering it was mostly cardboard instead of plastic so it survived the overseas trip but it was advertised as a Region 0, Region Free DVD box set. That's why I purchased it. Looking at the back of the box it was clearly stamped as a Region 1 copy. I havn't even unwrapped it. I cant play it on my Region 2 Bluray or Xbox.
