These are good if you’re taking medication that slows down your bowel movements or causes constipation. These are also good if you just aren’t getting enough fiber, or not enough exercise, etc. too. Anyway this is 2 X 100 tablets for $6.99 I paid in October 2020. Still same price in April 2022.I did find 400 for $8 if you need that money. I take medication’s that slow bowel movements so I have taken 3 of these around 6 PM and I will definitely have to go to the bathroom around 9 AM and they work. Gross side effects are bloating, cramps and gas. If you are not taking any medication to slow your bowel movement I would definitely start with one because these are 8.6mg of senna laxative (keeps water in) and 50mg ducosate sodium softener (pulls water in). Start with one and if you don’t get relief tried to but if you take too many your stool is going to be way too soft and your risk diarrhea and dehydration. Drink plenty of water with these. Since they are pulling and keeping water in your stool you’ll need more water to stay hydrated. You shouldn’t use these for long periods of time because then your bowels might not stimulate themselves over time. To take a break from laxatives and softeners you could try to do a natural colon cleanse at home: Water flush. Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated is a great way to regulate digestion. ... Saltwater flush. You can also try a saltwater flush. ... High-fiber diet. ... Juices and smoothies. ... More resistant starches. ... Probiotics. ... Herbal teas. NOTES: Sennosides are known as stimulant laxatives. They work by keeping water in the intestines, which helps to cause movement of the intestines. Docusate is known as a stool softener. I Switched from the name brand of this product, Senokot-S, over two months ago. It has worked just as well for me as the name brand, and the price-point is significantly less in cost per tab. You may have positive results overnight, or it could take several days of using this product, just depending on your body's bowel habits and history with laxative use, your diet, and any prescription medications you might be taking. You can take up to 8 tablets a day, which is what I take using it strictly as a stool softener. ❌ If you require immediate relief, it is likely that this product isn't going to be strong enough to give you the results that you need quickly enough.
