Ready, Set, Weld!: Beginner-Friendly Projects for the Home & Garden Paperback – May 5, 2009

I am really impressed with this book! In it's short format it truly gives you all the information that you need to start safely and successfully welding your own metal projects. It is clearly written and concise, the pictures are great and instructions easy to follow. I run metal workshops for beginners and am recommending this book to my students.

PERFECT book for the beginner and someone that just wants to be able to do some basic welding to augment their other artwork like I do. I know less-than nothing about welding, and it’s really intimidating to me. But this book made me feel so much more at ease and confident to be able to make some simple forms to use w my sculptural ceramics. I highly recommend it.

I got this for my mom, who is just beginning to learn how to weld. She's a bit intimidated by the whole process, but her face lit up when I showed her some of the easy craft projects in this book. The instructions are clear and there's lots of photos. Hopefully having some step by step "recipes" will let her gain enough confidence to eventually meet her goal of creating scrap metal yard art!

Great book for the novice. It is an easy read and pictures of projects you can actually do and should do at least 5 -8 of them. Makes you look at a scrap piece of metal in a different way. Good that it is geared to welding...not just pictures of things DONE in welding...Good book for beginners. I recommend it.

Book was okay Was hoping for more projects to weld. Nice artsie photos and project. Probably would buy again if I needed to.

Great book for ideas and inspirational projects, I've been welding for over 35 years and found useful information and differing approaches. No doubt you will find a project or two that you would like to build or useful ideas to jazz up your existing work. I have built four of the "Vine Racks" for friends and they love them a fun and unique gift. You won't be disappointed in this book.

Kimberli's writing style is conversational, clear and her instructions are easy to follow. She's so positive and encouraging that she makes it easy to dive in and learn to weld. I felt that she was in the room with me, guiding me along. She gives you all the information you need to get started and successfully finish your own projects. I'll never look at metal the same way again!

Truely for the beginner. This book is clear, concise and straight to the point without a bunch of filler you don't need when learning a new craft. It almost reads like an exciting storybook. I honestly couldn't but it down. Tons of colorful photos as well.
