Each card is beautifully designed, featuring beloved characters and iconic moments from the series. The artwork is detailed and vibrant, capturing the essence of Buffy and her gang perfectly. Every shuffle and draw brought back fond memories of the show's best episodes. The quality of the cards is top-notch. They have a nice, sturdy feel and a smooth finish, making them easy to handle and durable for frequent use. Themed Tarot card decks can be remarkably underwhelming sometimes... Not this one! The amount of thought that goes into each card is phenomenal. Each character is deeply understood when they select which card to put them to. It makes *sense* rather than being for a gimmick. Don't get me started on Death or the Hanged Man. The art itself is gorgeous. The strong purple, reds, and pinks are prevalent in all the cards, but each character is clearly recognizable in a style that's very pleasing to look at. I'd say this is a great set for even those just starting out with Tarot, that know Buffy and Co well. My sister gushed to me about each one (who I got this for), but even I could understand some of the cards before checking the guidebook or asking her, simply from my knowledge of the characters. I've gotten her sets in the past (different company, different medias) that didn't even come close to this level of intuitive readability. Bravo!

The cards are gorgeous, to start with. The art is amazing. I love who/what was chosen to be used for each card, and love the way they paralleled the usual suits (as explained in the booklet). Also, as a long time Buffy fan, there are just so many happy references peppered in, it delights me to see all of these goodies on the cards. The booklet is very fun, and feels like it was written as an extension of the show and how everyone speaks. I also love that they included reversals along with the upright cards. That was a happy surprise. (It's always so boring when books/booklets don't include reversals.) When it comes to the physicality: The box is handsome, thick, sturdy, and there's a ribbon to snake under the cards to help you get them out that also snakes underneath the booklet. The card stock for this deck feels really good, and it's decently thick, and the cards have held up to several shuffles from me so far. It's bent a little, but that's to be expected. I collect tarot decks, and not all of them have been the best, but this one is amazing. Five stars.

I love this deck so much! It is so nuanced and adorable. 🥰 For example, six of cups is Joyce and Giles from “Band Candy.” This isn’t just a generic product. The artist and writer clearly know their Buffyverse. The card stock is very high quality, as well. Lovely lovely! Makes my day.

The art is everything I hoped it would be. Every card has the perfect characters chosen to represent the theme. The artist absolutely captured the vibe of the show, while also staying true to the imagery of the RWS style. I also happen to be a huge Spike fan, so I appreciate how many times he made an appearance. The guidebook is really cute and character themed, but not super useful if you don’t already know the card basics. But there are several Buffy themed spreads that looked like fun. The only thing preventing me from giving a full five stars is that I wish the card stock had been just a bit thicker. It’s not horribly thin, and probably comparable to most themed decks, but slightly better cardstock would have made this deck 5 stars for sure.

Such a cool tarot deck for true fans of the series. The characters align with each card they are paired to so well. Im very impressed and so glad I got the deck since I've had my eyes on it for a while!

Just for kicks, I'm learning tarot, and this Buffy set is BEAUTIFULLY illustrated. The packaging is lovely, and the guide booklet inside is user-friendly AND fun to read. I don't know what an experienced tarot user would think of this deck, but, as a Buffy fan, I love it and think it's a must-have for Buffy fans. As a tarot novice, I think this deck works incredibly well and correlates with Rider-Waite-Smith well, too. The Major Arcana cards in this Buffy deck make TONS of sense correlated with RWS. But I'll admit that it's a little less intuitive to grasp the Minor Arcana in this Buffy deck alongside RWS. I'm finding that it's helpful to use the included Buffy guide booklet AND a Rider-Waite-Smith book in conjunction to interpret my spreads. That's helping me figure out the "why" behind the Minor Arcana Buffy cards and helping me see how the Buffy booklet's explanations relate to the RWS Minor Arcana explanations. With the Major Arcana in this Buffy deck, you don't need to take that extra step (of using an RWS book alongside the Buffy booklet), in my opinion, because those cards do align so perfectly with RWS's Major Arcana; you can just look at those ones and really "get" them immediately.

As a die-hard Buffy fan I must say I'm very pleased with my purchase, chosen scenes and characters for the cards are well put and I love the art style :) Delivered fast and safe as usual, thank you amazon!

I have like 10 tarot decks, and somehow this is one of the most affordable decks I've got and also might be the highest quality one as well. And that's comparing with decks that I've spent over $100 on. It's shockingly good quality. The booklet is so fun and specific for Buffy fans, the box and packaging quality is gorgeous, and the deck itself feels sturdy and is vibrant and beautifully printed. Because of the low price and lack of minor arcana pictures, I was kind of expecting pip cards (only simple numbered illustrations for the minor arcana), but EVERY card has its own unique illustration and character/scene. I'm incredibly confused why this deck is priced so low when it's this good. I'm excited to use it and just go through and look at all the stunning art. I've marathoned the whole Buffy series so many times in my life and I'm about to start my end of year viewing, and I'll do so this time while considering the deck's many show references. All of this to say—buy it, seriously, you won't regret it lol
