First bow
It’s a little tricky putting together for your first bow. You don’t realize the strings look like they go on backwards at first. I’ve been practicing a little here and there, and I’m already hitting bullseyes from 30 feet away. A few suggestions: I made an arm protector out of suede and elastic. A few layers of suede on both inner side of bicep and forearm, basically a humungous protector, with four straps of elastic going around the back (measure to make sure it’s tight but now too tight) to fully protect your arm. The arm protectors that I ordered here (Amazon) didn’t work at least for a beginner. The string would slide under the arm protector and slap the heck out of my arm. The arrow rests that are the cheap plastic ones didn’t work either, they just broke right away. I used a golf peg and that works fabulously. I did have to tape around the peg a little and slide it in afterwards so it was nice and snug. I bought an archery glove too but it’s more so you can look awesome, I don’t think I really needed it but I kept it anyway. I made my own arrow bag, but you can find some really reasonably priced arrow bags on Amazon and I do recommend getting at least 12-16 arrows and a bag. Also- don’t go with plastic arrows. I made that mistake too. Go with the carbon and feather arrows. You’ll be much happier and so worth the extra few bucks. For the target I bought a bail of hay and spray painted a target on it. Works great. It’s a fun hobby, and I usually play with it for about 15 minutes a few times a week but it’s also fun to show your friends. And who knows, with all that’s going on right now- If the supply chains come to a stop (especially if your state is relying on the Mississippi River for distribution) at least we may be able to provide food for ourselves.

THE BEST BOW FOR ANY BEGINNER! (sans the arrows)
I am a beginner archer and I bought this set from Amazon at the beginning of this month. The bow feels so good and almost center weighted for a left handed shooter that I really cannot find fault with it at all! The arrows though, are another story!I bought a 30 pound bow set and the arrows didn't even last one day. Two of them had their fletching come off and one had it's point get stuck in cardboard! I messaged the seller and since they didn't have just the arrows in stock, they gave me a refund sufficient enough to get some good arrows. For anyone getting a 30 pound bow set, please do yourself a favor and get the SAS Oblivion 500 spine 100 grain point arrows. These fly true and straight up to 20 yards (my backyard doesn't have more space than this but I don't doubt you cannot go more).Link to arrows: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Q1NK5T9I just got my D-97 replacement string from the same brand (Lightning Archery) and once I replaced the default strings with the D-97, OMG!!! No vibrations, no hand shock, no string slap! It feels too good to be true honestly but once you replace the strings with a D-97 this bow becomes even better!Link to string: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XX7K9YNI am learning to string walk and I can't believe how much my shots have improved!Highly recommended set with just the arrows and the string replaced! I don't regret purchasing this at all so much so that I returned my PSE Razorback that I got from my local store today!

The main screw is not solid
I loved the entire package the handle is beautiful. The limbs are spot on .However I wanted a takedown bow so it could be assembled and re-assembled. However the screw and helicoil from step one, being very cautious. Was incorrect. What I mean is that the bootom limb and screw fit nicely the other limb the screw was not right and had to be slightly forced which now results in the fact that if the bow is taken down again the screw will be stripped. I think this a great theory. But, reality is now I have bought a one time use takedown bow. Unless they replace what I bougth. Also there are alot of useless things in the packaging. One thing that could be usefful is an arrow guide at the nock. Great product and great entry level bow. But if the screw and helicoil get stripped step one well You just paind for one time use junk again. Is Amazon becoming EBay. I am tied of buying product that don't fulfill a simple and not even, long term, warranty of fitness. I am in the processing a claim to see how they will make me whole again . Meaning I can fix the bosw and have it work at least more then one time of assembly.

It's awesome!
I'm new to archery, look for different brands and different bows. I go through a lot of articles and watched YouTube to find better bow. Finally decide to settle on the lightning #30 recurve. I just got this two years ago and it looks and feels like it's extremely well made. My skills are very raw to say the least, I can review about the product of design, and packing, what things come with. Cause I am addicted to amazon, already buy a number of goods in here. Let’s talk about the design first, beautiful work of art, very obvious care was taken to design and build it. It will last a long time, never fail me, and maybe even be handed down to a new generation. For the packing, it come with very hard solid box. It looks like this company has effort to the packing, it is very wise judgment. In the box, something big plastic form cover the product. It seems like usage for protect the product, and be a double protecter. There is a riser, two limbs, a bowstring, two pieces of fur arrow rest, a bow stringer, archery armguard. I am very surprise they give a lot of accessories in reasonable price. Lastly, the grip is very comfortable to me. There is also an instruction manual, which is easy to understand and assemble for a novice like me. The bow feels great in my hands and is nice to shoot. I'll update my review after I have more experience with this bow.

Great Bow!
This is my second bow purchase from Lightning Archery. I needed a higher poundage bow since I outgrew my first bow but they both are beautifully crafted! Made in USA is a plus for me!
