It’s heavier than you think.
My background: I’m a grappler and I’m interested in all for forums such as freestyle, Greco, BJJ, judo, catch and whatever else.I gave it five stars because the quality is top notch on suples gear. The stitching on this is made to last. Ivan and his team know what you’re going to do with this dummy and make it so you can pass it on to the next generation. If you don’t have the speed dummy or a lighter off brand dummy I suggest you get one. My first dummy was a stump type off brand and I threw it enough I knew I’d commit to training with this one. If your unsure about such an expensive tool get a cheaper one to see if you like it. It won’t last forever like this one or handle as well but at least you won’t risk wasting a bunch of money if you don’t like it.If you have thrown often and already have the power and technique this thing could be what your looking for if you want a partner that doesn’t complain but isn’t a soft pillow also. This thing is no joke. The dead weight of the 40kg will humble you a bit. If you can’t get a work out with this it’s cause you put it in the corner of your garage and cried because you realized your not as good as you thought you were. I met Ivan at a clinic and asked him about the leather dummies vs the speed dummies. I don’t remember his exact words but he basically said the leather ones are far more difficult to throw and doesn’t suggest them to a new user the speed ones are way more fun. In the context of the audience (youth wrestling) that makes since. I see what he means now. I just threw it 60 plus times and Im pretty worked. Idk anyone who will willingly let me throw them 60 times In a row at 70%. This thing will give you a great work out past what most solo drill can offer.

We purchased this Dummy, to assist in teaching our students the proper way to execute difficult wrestling moves with the main focus on safety. They can maneuver the Dummy in ways that a real wrestler might be injured. Money well spent.

Vinyl dummy sent and not the Genuine Leather Dummy
The picture and description says GENUINE LEATHER and I received the vinyl dummy which is a a $200-$300 difference. Be careful and return if you receive the vinyl version.It’s going on 2 months and I’ve yet to receive my refund
