Overall awesome figure.
Amazing figure. Great quality. Articulation is good. No kibble in robot mode. One of my favorite transformer toys in my collection. Obviously, this is not a 1:1 color accurate model compared to the G1 galvatron, however it is still a great representation of him. Compared to some of the toys from the other transformers media, the quality on this is A LOT better. If you’re looking for an overall 10/10 figure, I’d buy this.

I have mixed feelings about this...
So, I uploaded several pictures for context. One with the Leader Class Starscream, and two others that are just Galvatron. As you can see, this Galvatron is noticeably taller than the Starscream figure but not excessively larger. I believe they are labeled as being close or possibly the same height, but really are not. I like the Starscreen MUCH more than this model but will be keeping this Galvatron despite my complaints below. My biggest negatives about this figure are1. He is colored purple where he should be more blue, this seems to be common and I know there is all sorts of versions of the character, BUT I consider the movie to be what I care about. FYI, there is a website post that talks EXTENSIVELY about the color variations in the cartoons and the figures that is a great read!2. His face does not look like the 1986 Movie version of the character. Its similar, but too slender. If you look at the pictures from the movie, his head clearly fills the helmet where this figure does not from the cheeks down.3. The orange blaster/gun is ridiculously sized on this figure. I included a picture where the gun can be seen. Admittedly, the gun changes size some throughout the movie, but this version is silly compared to ALL variations. I assume this is to make it appropriately sized when he is in turret mode. BUT they should have just included two of them to swap out depending on mode. :facepalm:4. The tank treads on his arms are also ridiculous in robot mode. I haven't transformed the figure yet, because I mostly only care about the robot mode, but will at some point. They are ALMOST not there in the movie, but do show up even though they aren't obviously tank treads, just colored blocks.5. The hands are cheap and do not open/close at all, like the cheap toys of the 80s. Note - Starscreams hands aren't great either and look odd in almost all positions BUT they at least open/close.6. The right leg is loose and is only just barely tight enough that he will stand and not just immediately do a split. For over $30, this is a more than a little disappointing.7. I have never liked the shoulders on any of version of the figures of this character. I understand it is a compromise to make it work, but they just look bulbous being fully on the outside of the body as opposed to recessed into the characters shoulder/torso the way the cartoon movie showed it.Even with all of those negatives, it's a good (enough) representation of the character, or at least as good as seems to be available. I have considered trying to repaint it to the correct royal? blue type color but have my doubts about how well that would come out. I also have considered removing the tank treads to make the character look better in robot mode. It is generally accurate to the cartoon versions of the character even with several small details represented that are surprising especially considering it is the wrong color! Other than the leg/hip joint issue, it seems to be pretty well made and the packaging was very well put together so you can expect it to arrive intact, unless it is heavily abused. The ties are recyclable as is the carton which is a nice touch as well. The short version - it's got a lot of flaws, but you'll probably like it anyway. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. I'm really torn between 3 and 4 overall, but decided to be generous and give it 4.
