Whole Detox: A 21-Day Personalized Program to Break Through Barriers in Every Area of Your Life – An Integrative Health Guide for Mind-Body Wellness Review: A shift towards life - I was attracted by the "colors" put up by Dr. Deanna Minich on Facebook. They are always vibrant, exuberant, 'moving', alive, and holistic. That last factor attracted me more to follow her to see what her status updates are every time. By that time she announces her book "WHOLE DETOX" i knew I would like to get to know more about what this whole thing is about. I pre-ordered the book and when it arrived, my mental mode has already begun its journey. As it happens, she has a 21-day whole detox program coinciding with the book arrival. It could not have been a better match in terms of timing and personal journey. I love the real example of who she is and how she conducts her own life, based on her status, her words, her voice, her interactions with numerous healthcare practitioners of different discipline, her whole persona, and her dynamic energy embracing the "whole spectrum' of well-being, that goes beyond just restrictive and painful dieting to reduce the waistline, to look slim and 'pretty'. To me, this is not a book to read from page one to page 386. It is a living, breathing experience that compassionately nudges, reminds, guides, encourages, embraces me to really take stock of who I am in totality, and how I want to live the best version of this breathing, pulsating, living mind, body and spirit that make up who I am. The name itself, without knowing or having the connection with Dr. Deanna Minich, will not really attract me, as I have failed at every single detox I wanted to get on. It's just not a fun journey. But this experience of whole-some detox is nourishing, inviting, compassionate, kind, easy, comfortable, honest, and down to earth. I feel that it is a shift in a fundamental level towards the authenticity of health and inner joy. To me, t's a holistic journey in practical steps. I hope more people will see the spectrum of wealth and health through the wisdom in this book and by this author, and begin their own painter of colors in their lives. Review: Why You Must Have Whole Detox In Your Library - Dr Minich has done a stellar job in writing Whole Detox which I am personally thrilled to own - both on Kindle edition and hardback. These are the points that will sell any inquisitive person that this is a must-have book in their library: 1) As a fellow nutritionist, the fact that Dr Minich has 400 references in the bibliography tells me she is a serious student, researcher, and scientist on the subject of detoxification for the spirit, soul, and body. 2) Yes, detoxification must happen on multiple-dimensional levels if we are to truly come clean and Dr Minich is brilliant in delving into the deep things, yet it is done in a very personal, encouraging way. 3) The recipes are simple, yet profound in the use of botanicals and macronutrients that have a very, very powerful effect in sweeping toxins out of our body. Having personally gone through the program the recipes are spot on in their efficacy. 4) Dr Minich elucidates the seven systems of energy, moving through them with great clarity and incite. 5) The all-encompassing program leaves no stone unturned as it covers affirmations, meditations, yoga, other forms of movement, guided visualizations, the beautiful, healing use of color, the foods which includes the use of spices, botanicals, our body's need for protein especially during a time of detoxification, etc 6) Dr Minich gives many suggestions of adjunct ways we should be detoxifying such as the use of a far infrared sauna, forest bathing, even crying. 7) And lastly, she gives you steps what to do after the 21-day program is done so you know how to reintroduce those foods you abstained from during the cleanse.

A Colourful Rainbow Path to Health and Healing
There's so many things to like about Whole Detox but the ONE thing that really sets it apart is how it will show you how everything is connected. From reading this book you'll get clear on the power of synergy. How it will work in your favour when everything dances to same time tune and why you might not be feeling your best when it does not. Through the 7 Systems of health Deanna will guide you with her knowledge and wisdom, teaching you about how what we think can affect our food & lifestyle choices. And likewise how the food you eat can make you feel a lot better. As a nutritionist I've always been interested in how ALL of our body systems work in synergy and how food and nutrition affects the WHOLE body. However through Deanna's work I've found how we are much more than that. Whole Detox does not just address the body but also the mind & spirit, (and all the nuances in between). Body, mind & Spirit is something different camps often like to keep as separate entities. And it often feels like you have to choose between science or spirituality. But here you don't! In fact this book will show you that it's not just possible to integrate the two, it is in fact vital for your health & healing. Whole Detox is a cutting edge, forward thinking approach yet carries deep ancient wisdom. If you're ready to get to the root of your health challenges and get closer to the truth of how you are. then I highly recommend this book. Take the Colourful Rainbow Path, there's a pot of gold waiting for you at the end - Your most vibrant self!

Whole Detox, A personalized roadmap to health
In a world filled with seemingly endless toxins, whether they be internal or external, we need a reprieve... a reflective place where we can discover and recover our whole and detoxed self. Such a place is found in the pages of Whole Detox. Here we enter our inner labyrinth where we walk a conscientious, winding path to our truest state of well-being. We must, however, be willing to stop along the way and examine the toxicities within and without that have created our imbalances and led us astray. Whole Detox is the roadmap to do so. It methodically guides us through the complex maze of physical, mental and spiritual impediments that can stifle our successful passage into balance. This insightful, personalized healing journey mindfully investigates and integrates all the vital aspects of our being so that we may find our revived, toxic-free self arriving at the destination of our fully-realized health. Don't just read this book, live the principles and teachings that Dr. Minich has so eloquently imparted and helped us to the understand that the most effective way of detoxing ourselves comes not just from what we eat or drink, but from what we think and feel. And, most importantly, how compassionate we are with ourselves and with others. Herein this soulfully written, yet scientific discourse of Whole Detox truly lies our much needed and much desired quintessential reprieve. Pamela Stone

I love the "Whole Detox" book and program created by Dr
I ordered my copy of "Whole Detox" the day it was released and Dr. Perlmutter talked about it on his program. Since then I've read the book a number of times, highlighted and underlined, refer to it almost daily, participated in the 12-week Whole Detox Book Club on Facebook, and have signed up for the 21-Day Personalized Program in October. I love the "Whole Detox" book and program created by Dr. Deanna Minich. It's an exciting program that can be done individually or in a group. The book is filled with important, helpful information about our bodies. But in addition to the physical and eating program which includes great recipes, the book addresses our mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects, so it's a complete package. This has changed a number of things for me because I now treat my body as a complete package, and each aspect is vital and important to my whole being. For me, the "Whole Detox" book and its principles and program will be a way of life, not just another diet and health book.

Life Changing Material Within This Book!!!
I had the distinct pleasure of hearing Dr Minich speak at a symposium a few weeks back and her message rang through loud and clear. As a proactive physician myself, I truly appreciate the work Dr Minich has done in her research for this book. Her approach to a WHOLE body detox THAT WORKS AND LASTS is SORELY needed in a world of quick fixes and pills thrown at patients that just complicate matters. In all of my years in training and practice, I don't ever remember reading such a thorough and ACCURATE analysis of the current problems that afflict us all along with providing exceptional solutions to allow anyone to break through the toxic effects of anything that becomes a barrier to overall wellness. The use of imagery and colors to portray different ways we must detox is masterful. I haven't met a person that has familiarized themselves with Dr Minich's methods and not come away changed for the better. This book is now required reading for all of my patients and I've incorporated many strategies into my own personal life as well with unreal success. Do yourself a favor and get this book and read cover to cover! You WONT regret it. I cannot recommend this enough! Enjoy your new path to optimal health! -Dr A.L. Dallas, TX

I wanted to love it...
The concept is great and most of the recipes are delicious. I will be making most of these foods and smoothies on into the future. Now on to why I only gave it 2 stars. Despite claims and "resources," there is no support. There is an index of resources available, which includes places online you can (supposedly) go to and utilize while doing the detox, but the FB page for the Whole Detox no longer exists and the FB page for community support for those doing the detox is ignored and neglected. Before I started the detox I tried to join the community. A week later, my request was never answered, so I emailed an admin. Weeks later and still no response to my email or request. I've never heard from anybody. Literally, you're on your own. I had to wing a few things because I could never get questions answered. Also, the shopping lists are incomplete, so be sure to read through every recipe to make certain you'll have everything you need. Don't count on the shopping lists (provided on the official Whole Detox website). I did this and ended up without certain ingredients for meals in the program. Plan to put a good bit of money into your grocery shopping when you do the detox. I'm a great cook and still found myself buying things I'd never before considered...and frankly couldn't afford. It's expensive. If nothing else, the Whole Detox is a great introduction to the chakras and how to take better care of yourself body, mind, and spirit. But if you're looking for something where you can get any sort of support or want a program that is laid out completely, with positively no questions left unanswered, where you can feel confident when you go out on your own, then look to something else. This one falls short in providing the help that it tells you you will get and is not as organized as most programs I've seen.
