Brand New RV'ers In Need Of Lots Of Help
I got this book because we are totally new to the RV world and need all the help we can get. As of this review we have a brand new travel trailer sitting in our driveway but have yet to take it anywhere. We have spent the past month getting ready for our first trip which is coming up soon. That means lots of shopping and finding as many good resources as we can to help us do things right. This book has been a Godsend and after reading it I feel much more confident about what we're doing and it will be nice to know we have a good reference we can refer to along the way. I loved the Quick Tips that were interspersed throughout the book and I book marked many of them. I also liked the handy RV website hyperlinks in my Kindle edition. I plan to join them all for more advice as we go. I highly recommend this book whether you're a brand new RVer or even if you're a seasoned veteran. I'm sure you'll find lots of helpful information for whatever issues you face. It seems to all be covered here.

Pretty good read for the novice RVer!
You will still need your specific systems manuals- but this book imparts a lot of knowledge to make your RV experience more enjoyable and safe. Pros: I like that it has a broad range of information- from basic maintenance, driving, etiquette, systems, Wifi on the road, Full timing and Working on the road, safety. Cons: a few "tips" are so obvious as to be amusing - like wear warm clothes in your RV when it is cold on pg 98.

Fantastic Read
I have just started reading this book. It is full of tips and ideas for not only the new rver, but also gives tips and ideas for the seasoned rver. So far, I have found so many tips that I can use in my everyday rving life, that I may be busy for a long time or husband may be busy a long time. I highly recommend this book for not only the new guy/gal on the block, but also for those that have been doing rving for a long time. Fran and Steve have sectioned off the book in ways that makes it easy to find tips just scanning through the book. They have spent so much time gathering the information and making it available. Glad that they have done the work.

This book is not terribly well organized or edited
This book is not terribly well organized or edited. There are quite a few typos and some items are repeated one or more times. Overall, there is some good information to be found here. There is also some information provided that is not well-informed. As an example, the question is posed whether a water heater uses less energy when run continuously or when it is just run periodically before use. (The answer is that water heaters lose heat (energy) to surrounding (cooler) air over time. So, the hotter the water relative to the surrounding air, and longer the heater tank is exposed to those lower surrounding air temperatures, the more energy you will lose. By running the heater continuously, you will be replacing more of this "lost" energy, so will use more energy.) I also suspect that some of the suggestions for cleaning and caring for various surfaces might not sit well with the surface manufacturer and/or the cleaner manufacturer. Just the same, I thought there was enough information to make it a worthwhile read, especially for folks who are new to RVing.

Thanks Steven Fletcher and Best RV Tips!
I am amazed at all the useful tid bits of information available in this book! I will recommend it to all of the RVers in the Muroc camping club!I was a little worried, as with any RV book that I purchase, that they won't contain pertinent information to my kind of RVing. But once I got it and started reading it I found the book to contain all kinds of common sense tips that were useful to me. It is presented in a way that you know it comes from experiences from real people who have been there and are doing that! The book is actually an easy and fun read and will save me money with many of the suggestions and ideas.

TEN stars from me!!
I have NEVER seen a more thought out through book than this one! Thank you Steven Fletcher, Fran Crawford for all you put into this book. We just purchased a 40 Ft RV and about to go full time. Anyone about to go full time reads all they can get their hands on before heading out! This one book is all you really need. It covers everything you can think of and things you don't think of!! I have stayed extended time in a fifth wheel and learned a lot but still felt I wanted more for full timing. I am beyond grateful and impressed!

Something for beginners
We are beginners and wanted a hard copy to reference since you may not always have internet available. This book is helpful. I have not read everything, but I think this is handy to have.

Fantastic!
I read this book from cover to cover, barely putting it down. Just like a good novel, I was disappointed when I got to the end. I wanted more! I'm a new RVer, and there is so much to learn. This book is a treasure. I took notes, turned down page corners, ran to the hardware store, etc. I will be referring to this book often. Definitely a "must have"! Although I have a Kindle, this kind of book needs to be paper so I can annotate, mark pages, and easily flip around in it. When can I expect to see Volume 2?

Good reference work
I read about a half of it. There is useful info, a lot in one reference work. In Kindle format, it is even more easy to access.I recommend it, especially to RV newbies.

RV Amateur Review
For full disclosure, I bought this book for free, from Amazon. It was listed on one of a number of daily free Kindle Book lists that I subscribe to.Background about me before the review:- I don't own and RV but would like to- I live in the UKFirst things first- this book has a number of chapters and tips that are aimed squarely at US readers. I can't comment on these because I live in the UK, but they seemed logical to me.Book Review - Kindle Issue-> this is clearly a home produced book. There are spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. There are also several instances of paragraphs duplicated from one section to another.-> at frequent intervals there are brief tips for RV-ers. These were really great. I have hopes of converting a van or small bus to a permanent RV and these sections prompted many thoughts about this.-> a large part of the book is made up of stories about living in an RV. Again, this was very useful information - even if a lot of it was US specific. As a UK wanna-be RV-er, I now have a list of skills that would be useful to have before I hit the road.-> The remainder of the book re-tells stories from the author's travels, and while these may not transfer exactly to the UK RV life, I can safely say that they were enlightening and will help me when I finally get my own van.Overall rating 9/10. I would have happily paid a reasonable amount for this book, and will regularly check the associated website from now on.

More information on new motor homes .
Some of it will be useful to us as we purchased a new motor home. I feel they are more complicated than when this book was published.
