14k White Gold Ball Stud Earrings with Secure Screw-backs

Exactly as advertised. I had re-pierced my ears which had closed after a long illness and needed white gold. For me, white gold is “the gold standard” and does not irritate my ears and make them irritated. The one thing I wish they had done was machine just a few more rings in the screw part of the post. Maybe two more. My ear lobes are not large nor small. They are about the same as they’ve always been, even when I was much younger. Most post and screw backs fit perfectly. You know how screw backs are: too loose and the earring droops away from your ear hole a little bit. Too tight and the earring can start to sink into your ear hole. Despite wishing that the posts had a couple more threads on them, these earrings are just perfect. Extremely comfortable to wear 24/7, clearly NOT junk jewelry, and fits in with ANY style of clothing!

(This is the wife!) Basically everything makes my ears inflamed and gross except for surgical steel and real gold. Even sterling silver (eff you Claire's! 925 sterling silver my a**!) I can say after a few days that these are awesome so far. I got the 5mm. I think it's a good size, probably could have taken it to a 4. They are put them in and forget about them earrings! They stay in, they don't stab the s*** out of you when you're sleeping because of the awesome flat back design(where have these been all my life?!) And the screw back is going to keep these suckers on! I got nervous before buying because some reviews said the screw grooves hurt and that they were short, but I'm a big baby and neither of these things have been a problem. I will update in about a month on how they are holding up, but right now, they rock! Update::::: these rock. I do wish now I had gone down a size. They are great. I am a side sleeper and was so used to getting stabbed in the head from earrings. These are AWESOME. No irritation.

I bought these so I could wear something in the holes I’ve had for 40+ years. I noticed after trying on an old favorite that my earring holes had started to become difficult to wear. I am one of those people that can melt metal with my skin which is why I chose a gold material. I’ve had them in for a week without any pain, itching, or discoloration of the metal. These are not plated. I would have melted that coating off by now. The post is slightly longer than the majority of my other sets making over night wear comfortable. The twist back is tiny but once connected remains tight and even though I spin them daily like I was taught as a young girl the back does not fall off or become displaced. I haven’t tried to squeeze them with pliers or other dumb ideas that I read in other comments so I can’t say if they are solid but I will say they satisfy my needs, including small enough to sleep in, quality metal, and backs that stay in place so I don’t lose them in the shower.

I ordered the 3 mm, based on other reviews, for my second hole. They’re small enough and I could have even gotten the 4 mm. As other reviewers say, the backs are TINY! I dropped one in the sink and it almost went down the drain, so be careful. I’m docking them one star because the package doesn’t say 14k gold anywhere and I’m not 100% sure it is. I got them because my second holes have been irritated and bleeding on and off since I got them pierced more than a year ago and thought maybe I’m allergic to the piercing studs. Hoping to be able to leave these one without trouble. I love the round screw on backs so they won’t poke me.

I have sensitive ears and can only wear gold. I have been looking for studs for my second and third piercings but didn’t want to pay the gross mark ups of commercial jewelry stores. On a whim I came to Amazon to see what I might find and lo and behold I found these and thought I would give them a try. I have been wearing them a month now and have had no reactions due to metal sensitivity. They are comfy and I like the way they look, I live the screw on backs so I know they are secure without over tightening. I love these and have already purchased three pair.

The screw on earring backs are so tiny they are almost impossible to put on. I lost the original ones when I dropped them trying to put them on. I tried to find larger earring backs that screwed on but none of the ones I found would fit these earrings. You have to use their backings unless you can find a butterfly backing the right size that will screw on. I have a couple that will work.

My daughter has had these since 2021 with zero irritation. It is June 2025 now and she is 6. They stay put and very rarely need to be tightened. They have never turned and remained just as beautiful as the day I got them. I am about to buy another because I believe it is of great quality and I noticed today that one is missing. That is a great value for an active child. Thank you
