Zoom Spout Sewing Machine Oiler/4 OZ

I have a 1950's Singer sewing machine that needed some oil/lube maintenance. I bought this stuff because it was rated well, and said it had a "telescoping spout". When I got it, I was expecting the spout to have another plastic section to go out another inch, but I was surprised by what was there. It has a long (about 8") flexible plastic tube that pulls out of the top. This is incredibly helpful for very precise oiling (both getting to the exact spot, and being able to control the number of drops). I was so impressed with this feature, I took a picture and uploaded it to Amazon (well, after I showed my husband and said "Looooook!!!").If you don't want to use the elongated tubing, you are still able to use the bottle as normal (but if the bottle is near empty, the tube might not be in the oil if you turn the bottle upside down). The bottle cover even has a little plastic nub that you can set the red cap on so you don't loose it.So enough about the packaging, how does it work? It works great! The stich selectors on my machine were difficult to use, and I often had to wrestle them a bit to get the knobs set. I oiled my machine in the evening, and noticed an improvement, but it was still just a little bit clunky. I tried it again this morning - smooth as silk! There was no resistance in the knobs, and it moved smoothly between all stich settings.I'll be using this oil from now on!

The overall function of this tool is impressive. The spout telescopes out and in without leakage. The finest tube really does fit into the smallest of oiling holes in a sewing machine to ensure smooth operation continues. Finally, the needlebar area on a vintage sewing machine can be fully maintained without removing the front piece!Due to the excellent design, delivering the correct amount of oil to the specific spot without leaking is simply done. The quality of the oil is superb too. In my opinion, it is a must have for folks with vintage sewing machines (as opposed to the new ones made of plastic that do not need oiling). As a quilter who prefers to use vintage machines, it is a bottle full of smooth stitching!BTW- It was cheaper to purchase this on Amazon than to travel and buy it locally.

After restoring a few antique sewing machines, I finally ran out of oil. Reading the reviews, I found this to be the best quality for the money. I've always used sewing machine oil, as opposed to a 3 in 1 oil, on my machines, and it's getting harder to find around here. The price is right,and the extended tubing that comes to a point makes lubricating the old gears a cinch. It's also good for other items around the house, especially door and cabinet hinges.

I've been using ZoomSpout for very many years now. That spout puts the oil right where you want it, even if you want it in a terribly out-of-the-way place, even if you're working blind. The oil? It's OK, nothing to write home about. You can refill these trick bottles, though, with your own choice of oils carefully chosen for your own purposes. Never throw away the bottle unless it's sat in the sun so long that it got brittle and cracked!

you need to remove the box because the Ads deceiving. you do not get a whole box you only get one bottle.

My sewing machine was jammed. I had no idea why. I had to read about why and come to find out, sewing machines need to be oiled...and oiled ....and oiled. I like this product because of the very long tube that extends out! Perfect! It's hard to tell from the picture but there is a tube that pulls out to at least 4 inches so you can reach the touch parts on the machine. Well done. Quick shiping from Amazon. Yes, I'd buy this again...and again. No disappointments

Looking at the advertisement there was 3 pictures of a box containing 12 of these oilers. When the package came there was only one in a little box! I expected the dozen box as pictured and was incredibly disappointed. BEWARE THIS IS ONLY FOR ONE AND THERE ARE MUCH BETTER DEALS ON AMAZON! As for the oil it is probably just fine....

I am sure this product works fine and the price is OK, etc. Just know it is not well packaged (it was in a thin bag) it was leaking through the cardboard of the shipping box. It soaked into the packaging of other items in the same shipping box and those items will need thorough cleaning as they are for fish tank care and cannot be contaminated. I will have to keep this bottle stored away from my other sewing supplies and upright as I don't trust it not to leak in my sewing box
