Great product

I bought this to replace the lock on my mailbox, as I was never given a key when I moved in. Fitting it was straightforward and it only took a few minutes to swap out the old lock for this one. The key turns smoothly and it’s done the job of securing the box without any fuss. That said, the lock itself isn’t the most solid – the metal feels quite light and I wouldn’t expect it to stand up to much force. For a mailbox it’s fine, but I wouldn’t use it on anything that needs real security. Overall, it’s decent value for money, easy to install, and perfectly suitable for light use. Just manage expectations on durability.

Fitted perfectly in toolbox to replace old lock

Used this to replace a lock on a classic caravan side locker and it works perfectly. Better to go longer than have the lock too short.

It works

Locking bar could be longer. Bit flimsy, don't expect it to hold up to a determined attempt to break into the post box but its adequate to stop anyone just trying to open the box

OK for cost, I used on a caravan cassette toilet door as a temp while I had new keys cut and repaired the original and more substantial lock. However with some duct tape used to increase the diameter of the lock barrel slightly it fitted well in the door and was like this for a few weeks until I refitted the original lock and fittings, it worked quite well, no rust or corrosion, would be OK as a replacement but would poss use a bit of grease to help keep rain water out.
