You will lose the magnet that holds the clips up but gain the center threaded mount. If it had the magnet I would give it 5 stars. But the center threads is more of a priority to me. It did come with a set of replacement screws, but I reused the original screws that contained the blue locktite still.

I really don't understand why GoPro doesn't include a quarter-inch thread on their cameras (weirder still is on the Media Mod). So this little upgrade comes in handy. One star docked due to the lack of magnets holding the fingers up. I would spring for the new option that includes magnets, but regardless it's a smart upgrade. Recommended.

ネジ穴があるので別途のアタッチメントをつける必要が無いのがメリット。ただ、別途のアタッチメントを取り付ける為に持ち上げる際の固さが気になります。本体付属側はマグネットで固定できているのと、上げ下げがスムーズにできましたが、こちらの製品は固かったです。なのでネジ穴を使うのみであればとても良い製品でしたが、別の用途でも利用する自分にとっては残念な製品でした。

直接三脚に固定するために購入したのですが、ネジ部が浅く、ネジが奥まで入らず固定できません。それと、GOPRO本体側に穴が開いており「放熱に関係があるのでは」と考えてしまいます。私は長時間録画が目的ですので熱問題は無視できません。ということで本商品は外してしまいました。今後も使わないと思います。

A simple product that solves a simple problem. Before I installed this I had to use an adapter to mount my GoPro to my tripod. Now with this little gadget I can screw my camera directly to the tripod. Well-made; metal construction, metal screws. Even came with a little screwdriver. Boom.
