Superb
This is my first battery operated blower, which I avoided for years because of reviews saying they were under-powered and/or had super short run times. I'm here to tell you that this has neither of the problems, at least for my uses. This blower has been nothing short of superb so far. I bought my first blower about 17 years ago when I bought my house here in Tucson. I have a rock yard with mesquite trees and other bushes, and the rocks/driveway/sidewalk get absolutely covered in pollen (happening right now) and small leaves at times in the year. A lawn vac does a better job of cleaning and I went that route for years, but I get totally covered in dirt when using a vac, and they are harder to lug around. A blower does a decent job while leaving me relatively clean. I hate gas blowers (get to listen to the pros use them at neighbors homes and hate the loud noise and smell) and have been using corded blowers, mostly from Black and Decker. However, it takes me a good five minutes or more just to get the cords out and plugged in to get ready to start, and then the cords sometimes get in the way and usually make me backtrack around bushes. Enter this superb blower. Wow. Just wow. It's significantly quieter than my corded blowers, and compared to gas - forget about it. This thing is quieter as I'm holding it than the gas blower the landscaper uses when he's half a block away. In fact, I was so excited when it first showed up on a Sunday afternoon that I immediately unpacked it (which took all of about a minute because there's only two pieces) and started using it with the 80V battery that I already had, and it didn't occur to me until later in the day that I hadn't put in my earplugs. It's not _silent_, for sure, but it's a heck of lot quieter than I'm used to. Performance is plenty good for me. It has three main settings (low, medium, high), and then you can further tailor the air flow by how much you depress the trigger. I'm lazy and just pull the trigger all of the way back. On low, it makes quick work of pollen and tree litter on concrete such as my driveway and sidewalk - soooo much faster and easier than sweeping like I've done for years, and quiet enough that I can do it before I leave for work and not be "that guy" who wakes up the neighborhood. On medium, it works great blowing off the rocks in my main yard. It's so powerful on medium that (like my other blowers) I need to be careful not to blow the rocks around. On high...well, I hardly ever go there because it's so strong, but I think that you'll be pleased. I was pretty stunned at the air flow on high, and it forced my arm back the first time because I wasn't ready for it. Run times are very impressive using my 2A battery. I haven't actually timed myself, but I've blown off my yard twice on weekends so far and blown off my concrete daily. I always try to keep my blowing under an hour on weekends because, again, I don't want to be "that" guy. I probably used it for about twenty minutes at a time switching between medium and low, and my battery still lit up two out of the three indicator lights. I certainly might have used it longer, but I'm trying not to exaggerate. The ease of use is simply amazing compared to my corded models. Before work, I can just grab it, push the on button, walk out to spend about a minute blowing off the driveway and sidewalk, turn it off, and set it back down in my garage. Done. The fact that it's faster to use this than to grab my broom is fantastic to me. This is my fifth GreenWorks product (and I'm overall pretty happy with them), and I already had a 40V and 80V batteries and chargers, so this was a good deal for me because I didn't have to pay for the battery and charger. I almost bought the one with the battery anyway because I thought that I'd need more run time and would want a spare battery, but I haven't come close to needing another one. If you already have one of their 80V batteries, even the 2A one, I suggest getting this and not another battery to start to check if you'd want any more run time than you already get. Plus, if you already have one of those batteries, you know that they charge up pretty fast. Overall, I highly (HIGHLY) recommend this blower. One of my best lawn care purchases ever.

awesome leaf blower with a few things to note
Power: This is my very first leaf blower so I don't have a point of comparison, but it's powerful enough to get the job done. Noise: It was just like having a loud vacuum cleaner on my back, but the level is totally tolerable - no headphone or ear plugs needed. One of the most annoying things about gas-operatied leaf blower is the very loud noise (especially at 7:30 AM on Saturdays), so it's a huge plus for this leaf blower! Length of operation: With a fully charged battery I was able to operate it for about 20 minutes before having to recharge it, just as the product description stated. Battery: It takes about 40 minutes to fully recharge the battery & 20 minutes of operating time before the battery is completely depleted. Note that a spare 2.5Ah Battery currently costs190 on Amazon. For me it's worth using just one battery & wait for it to fully recharge to continue. Overall operation: I had to recharge the battery 4 times before I was able to clear the front yard (with 2 large oak trees) that's about 0.2 acre - with 20 min operating time +40 min recharging, it took about 5 hours total. If you have a spare battery this time can be significantly shortened. The blower hose is ginormous! I am small framed (5'2" and 110 lbs) making it somewhat cumbersome to operate the blower hose. The weight of the unit with the battery in position is still pretty light, even a small person like me had no problem carrying it on my back the entire time it took to get the leaves cleared. Without the noise and smell of a gas-operated unit and with the same level of power, this leaf blower is a clear winner! If you don't have the patience to wait 40 minutes for the battery to recharge, I recommend getting a spare battery.

Nice machine, but only good for quick jobs, i.e. less than 20 minutes
I have used the blower now on 4 occasions in the past week. The machine is well built and comfortable to wear. Assembly was very straight forward with no issues. It has plenty of blowing power, but what I was surprised to find is that I could do a lot more than I thought using the "trigger lock" switch to select and hold operation at a lower speed. At about 2/3 of the trigger lock switch, I had more than enough to do most of what I wanted, particularly with the ability to post the "turbo" button for those times when you need a little more blowing force. THE BIG DRAWBACK is the battery life. Running mostly at max blowing speed I would struggle to get 18 minutes of run time. This was really disappointing, but I knew that going in and so I also purchased the larger 4.0aH battery. I thought between the two of them, I would be able to do my long driveway which takes about 45 minutes. The 4.0aH battery only has about 3-4 more minutes of run time vs. the 2.5aH battery, and that was REALLY DISAPPOINTING.

I purchased this blower to blow light snow from my drive way and it work's quite well for that. I had the battery & charger as I have the 80 volt mower. The 80 volt battery does make the blower heavy but has lots of power and battery last fairly well on high speed.

This is a great blower. Used with a 4amp and 5amp batteries for longer runtimes the MPH and CFM increase substantially. Its the battery amps that make the difference. The 2.5 amp works fine but my 4 and 5 amp batteries take it to another level. The 4amp battery is a bit heavier than the 2.5amp but the 5amp is 6lbs but easily handled because of the backpack design with thick shoulder and waist padded straps. I'm 72 and its no issue once on the back. I doubt there would be much need for higher performing blower because this is extremely powerful.

this thing works beautifully and doesn't require much battery life to do the job ... I'm pleased with it

This blower offers really good power with the convenience of cordless. This is a bare tool (i.e. no battery), but it takes any size of 80V Greenworks battery (and can easily be modified to accept Kobalt 80V batteries). I’m using a 5Ah battery from my lawn mower – the battery is a little longer than the housing but only by a little. With this large of a battery, the blower is a little heavier than ideal, but is manageable… a 2.5Ah battery would be better suited if weight is important. Power is really good – it can blow dry or damp leaves from lawn or pavement effectively. Control with the trigger is precise – you can feather the trigger for gathering leaves on pavement for pickup, or go full blast to move them across the lawn. There is also a ‘turbo’ button but I don’t ever use it. This blower is also excellent for cleaning out gutters. Battery life is hard for me to judge because I usually share the battery with my lawn mower, but I’d estimate that I’d get 20-30minutes of use from a fully-charged 5Ah battery. Construction is all plastic – the main portion feels very robust, but the tube is a cheaper feeling plastic but is more than adequate for the purpose. I used to have a 20V lower powered “sweeper” blower. While it was convenient for blowing dry leaves and grass off pavement, and that was all it could do. This 80V Greenworks adds the ability to blow far more material, even when damp and on lawn. Overall – if you are looking for a cordless blower, this is a solid option.
