Does the job
## Fire TV Stick Lite: Affordable Streaming, Simple Setup, But with a Catch The Fire TV Stick Lite is Amazon's entry-level streaming stick, promising a simple and affordable way to enjoy Full HD content. It delivers on those promises, offering a smooth setup process and an intuitive interface, but its lack of some key features might leave power users wanting more. **Pros:** * **Affordable:** The Fire TV Stick Lite is one of the most budget-friendly streaming devices available, making it a great option for users on a tight budget. * **Easy Setup:** Setting up the device is incredibly straightforward, with simple instructions and minimal hassle. * **Alexa Voice Remote Lite:** While basic, the included remote with Alexa voice control makes searching for content a breeze. * **Full HD Quality:** Despite its low price, the Fire TV Stick Lite delivers a smooth and enjoyable Full HD streaming experience. * **Vast App Selection:** Access to a wide range of streaming apps, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and more. **Cons:** * **Limited Functionality:** The Lite version lacks several features found in its pricier siblings, like Dolby Atmos support, 4K resolution, and a more advanced remote with dedicated buttons. * **No TV Controls:** The remote lacks buttons to control TV volume or power, requiring the use of your TV remote for basic operations. * **Basic Remote:** The Alexa Voice Remote Lite doesn't offer features like a dedicated Netflix button or a dedicated mute button, which might be essential for some users. **Overall:** The Fire TV Stick Lite is a solid choice for casual streamers who are looking for a budget-friendly way to access streaming services. Its simplicity and ease of use make it a great entry point for those new to streaming devices. However, power users who value features like 4K resolution and a more advanced remote might be better off considering the higher-end Fire TV Stick models. **Recommendation:** If you're looking for a basic, affordable streaming device with Full HD quality and simple setup, the Fire TV Stick Lite is a good option. But if you want a more feature-packed experience, you'll need to invest in a higher-end model.

Great For Viewing Your Favourite shows, Easy To Use, But A Touch Slow
Even though I rated this review on the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite version 4 stars, many people will still be happy with this stick for watching many different subscription platforms (Amazon Prime, Disney+, ITV X, etc.). The reason I'm giving this 4 stars is for 2 main reasons. Firstly I don't find it acceptable when using the voice command that the Fire Stick could and would normally pick my film/series on a subscription platform I didn't own over ones that I did own. For example, when I searched for a film it took me to Amazon Prime (in which I didn't have a Prime account to watch the film without paying) but I did have the film on Disney+. This wasn't an issue for me as I normally look online to see where I can see a film before searching, but some people might speak to Alexa and think they do not have the film available without paying, rather than the Fire Stick being optimised and pick a subscription service they do have if it's available there as well. This wont be a huge deal breaker for most people, but I found this teadeous that I would have to click home, then search for my service, and then search for my show or film when Alexa was meant to be there to help, just a personal gripe but still an issue. The last problem was speed but that could be down to using the 'Lite' version on the Fire Stick lineups, with this one only having 1GB of memory/RAM. If you take a chill slow pace then this won't be an issue for you, but for me when I eventually make a mistake and want to go back it does take a while, and when you have your dinner prepared you just want to get things going quickly without messing around too much, but again this won't be an issue for some who don't mind the wait. Overall this is a great piece of equipment that every family can benefit from, except if you already have a smart TV as most people do. This is because this Fire Stick Lite would be too slow in comparison, but the other could carry some benefit with more RAM or better wifi capabilities. ✪ Highly Recommend I hope you have found this review informative in helping you decide whether to buy this product. I also have more reviews on my profile if that interests you.

Simple & Easy
Linked straight into my Amazon account and was so easy to set up. I bought it to use with a mini projector, it is plugged into the hdmi and powered with an Anker power bank and works perfectly as you can see. This is instead of a smart tv in the bedroom and has saved me hundreds of pounds. (£70 all in for projector and fire stick) the quality through the projector is 1080p and perfectly adequate for a secondary setup for occasional viewing. Spent some time finding all the apps I needed and found everything I wanted - YouTube & Prime Video preloaded, BBC iplayer, All4, Disney+, Netflix were all presented to me as part of setup to download. AppleTV & Paramount+ were the only ones I had to search for but pairing with my phone made the search much easier (use of phone keyboard) and found them both straight away. Logins were all done via QR code and I was completely setup within 30 minutes including updates. Speed seems good but we have reliably fast WiFi so I wasn’t worried and for what I’m using it for it should be ample. Very impressed with first impressions and I hope it stays that way. I recommended this for turning any dumb device into a smart one for a one time fee - something that very rare in this day and age.

The more I’ve used it, the better it’s got
I like that the remote is Bluetooth. As I have the smallest memory version, I only downloaded the apps I wanted, which has been fine. I usually leave it powered up continually, so I don’t know how it would have been if I had disconnected the power every night. I don’t know why, but playing after pausing using the remote has stopped working, which is not a problem because I can simply press the Alexa button on the remote and say ‘play’. Perhaps turning it off and on again would fix this, I don’t know. Also, I have downloaded the Firestick app which has a virtual remote control, so perhaps the play after pausing would work on that. This is an impressive piece of kit. The addition of this Firestick has, from my point of view, turned my old plasma TV, on which all of the smart functions I used stopped working, back into a smart TV. I’m glad I bought the cheapest Firestick as it does everything I want. YouTube is a useful source of information for optimising the settings.
